What month does 0% end on 15 month promotion!!!

Hi all

Probably a bit of a dumb question, but not sure. If i have a credit card with a 0% promotional period for 15 months which started on 27th June 2011 when does the balance start to incur interest. I worked it out that 15 months is 27th September this year which is the date the statement is due, does that mean as long as i clear the whole balance on that statement no interest will be charged or will interest already show up on the September statement. I would really appreciate some input as i have the whole amount in an offset account and just don't want to end up paying the interest unnecessarily. Appreciate any comments

Many thanks

Far easier to ring the card company concerned as they differ from card to card.
Most give you the period from card opening date, not transfer date. Some give to card statement date, not payment due date.
It could be 27th September 2012 IF you've got the start date right, have you?
Ring them, you'll get a definitive answer without any of the guesswork or assumptions you'll get here.

The start date of the account opening was 27th June 2011 and it was 0% on purchases for 15 months so yes i think it will be worth giving M&S Credit Card a ring to clarify.

    Thanks again

When I use these deals, I always pay them off the statement before its due, to ensure I don't pay any interest. If thats within a week, then the statement before that (basically giving me 4 - 6 weeks to remember to pay it off, rather than panicking that I missed the deadline at midnight). Considering the amount is typically between 3 - 8K, the first interest chunk will be a LOT, and I'd rather not risk it.
