i owe provident money will this affect my chances of getting vanquis card? this happened about 4 years ago (oweing provident) it doesnt show on my credit report but wondered if any of you out there have a long outstanding debt with provident but have been sucessful in getting a vanquis card.

will aqua reconsider another application?
i applyed about a month ago and was turned down i think because i had an unsettled default on my account. it has now been satisfied, just have to wait a few more days for it to show on my credit report. once it shows it, could i reapply before the 6 month period and have a positive outcome?

Are there any merchants out there that have figured out why we have to pay a non-compliance fee when we do not take card details either by e-mail or over the phone? Surely the transmission of data from our card machine is the responsibility of the card machine supplier.
