lol are you taking the pi$$.

You say you owe them money like its nothing, and now you want more credit.

What good reason should you be given a credit card?

So dont you think you should pay them back before having the cheek to take more credit out.

If you dont like my opinions dont post stupid threads and expect respectable replies.

people in that situation would pay the debt off before taking out more credit.

You seem to be pleased its not on your credit file.

@sjane23, absolutely not, i owe provident some money back in 2009 due to their agent fault, she went on holiday for 3months and dedicated someone to collect on her behalf who does not bother to turn up for my payment at all and lied. they charge me £250 which i vowed not to pay.

And I just got granite card this month with £500 limit which is run by vanquis.

sjane, try to avoid feeding the forum trolls and learn to ignore them.

Re. your Provident debt and a Vanquis card, you'll never know until you apply for the Vanquis card. After 4 years it's likely but not certain that the Provident debt will have been sold in which case you will not owe the money to Provident but your original agreement with Provident still applies.

sjane23 : Whether you like pcombo's reply or not s/he is just telling you how it is.

You owe a debt, this will probably be recorded on one of the 3 main CRA's and will act against you.

You losing your job, although bad news, has no influence on your agreement to repay your creditor.

If you can prove you and moshodoo1 have the same complaint then follow their complaints procedure which is backed by the FOS instead of defaulting.

In the meantime, you still owe a creditor monies and I wouldn't pay too much heed to someone who pronounces getting a subprime card 3 years after a default is any kind of victory :/

I'd suggest you post your SoA on the DFW (Debt free wannabe) board and they are very good at helping people sort their finances out. The CC and Loan forum (fora?) regulars have a "tell it like it is" approach which tends to shock most people into having their LBM.

I personally prefer the "tell it like it is" approach but do realise that others need coaxing into realising their debt obligations.
