i owe provident money will this affect my chances of getting vanquis card?

Just to totally upset the boat...
When I was approved for my Vanquis all those years ago I was at the time five months behind on a Provident loan.
I actually used the Vanquis card to pay the Provident loan off over the phone to their arrears line
Robbing Peter to pay Paul or what? Oh how times have changed... Bygone age.
