Time to ditch and switch my Student Barclaycard?

in Credit cards
I've had a Student Barclaycard for a few years now, but I graduated in 2009 and have been in full-time employment for a year and a bit now.
The interest on it for purchases is ~27%, but I usually only buy petrol from Shell with it for the Reward points and generally always pay it off in full each month, so I'm rarely hit with the interest.
However, I'm just about to move in to my own (rented) flat and need to buy a load of furniture, so I'm thinking it's time to get a proper credit card with a decent 0% purchases deal
Is the NatWest/RBS one that's the current top pick going to be the best deal for me? Last time I checked my credit score with Experian it was excellent, and I don't have any other credit besides my phone contract and current Barclaycard. Am I also right in thinking that I wouldn't be able to just swap my student car for the Barclaycard Platinum?

You can't just swap it but as long as you haven't defaulted and earn around 1k/month after tax RBS/Natwest should give you around £3.5k0

time to learn to save before you spend
if you haven't sufficient saving to move into your own rented flat then you will probably struggle to pay the debt off.0 -

I've got a decent amount in savings at the moment actually, but I don't really want to take it out and loose the interest on it unless I really have to. Makes more sense to me to leave it in my ISA to earn interest, have what I need on a credit card at 0% and then pay it all off at once when the deal ends0 -

Just remember to make the minimum payments each month0
