Post Office broadband - experience?
Hi guys, My g/f is about to come out of a 12 month TalkTalk contract for just their basic broadband, which, I have to say, since using our own router has been spot on! Used a lot for streaming mainly, I can't fault it... their own D-Link kit was dire. Constant drops and really poor wifi coverage. Anyway, looking for…

We currently have VM set of cable TV (XL) 60mb broadband and phone. We should like to reduce cost. We are out of contract. We should like to keep the broadband. I did enquire before with VM but was told a) I had to have the phone line as part of the deal and b) TV was part of overall deal and if I got rid of phone, TV…

Powerline Adapters
Firstly I should say I'm useless with technology. My internet signal is rubbish due to my router being at the opposite end of the house. Someone recommended a Powerline Adapter. I did a bit of research and bought one from Amazon after reading reviews etc. This is what I bought:…

Virgin media sent me a credit default notice for a bill they told me TWICE I do not need to pay!!
So basically I have moved house. I told Virign Media on 6th July that I was leaving (my 12 month contract was due to end on 31st July anyway). After a slightly confusing conversation where I told them I would be moving the phone number, they said thats fine and what I thought was agreed was that when the new phone supplier…

Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster and I'm looking for some help. We got our bill increase letter in from Virgin Media today stating ours is going up, at the bottom it says we can leave penalty free up until 31st October. I called up to exercise this option and was told they will waiver the price increase and then…

Sky prepaid mastercard
I ordered sky broadband with £50 prepaid MasterCard offer. Less than 4 days later I see it advertised with a £100 card. I was just wondering what my success rate was likely to be if I was to ask Sky to honour the higher gift card rate? Has anyone else tried?

Zen internet
Hi there, I've been with Zen internet for 6 years and have had no problems with them at all, their customer service is brilliant but I am paying £48 (rounded up) a month for super fast fibre, landline and certain calls. I know I could get a cheaper deal. I never use the landline for calls. I'm considering Plusnet but not…

Virgin to SEE - Cashback?
Hi everyone, Having recently agreed a new bundle with Virgin (circa £30/month) I get a letter telling me there will be a £3 increase, so nearly 10% rise. As such I want to cancel the contract (as per terms & Conditions.) I want to transfer to SSE Broadband and on quidco can get a decent cash back. How do I go about this,…

Virgin Media Broadband - Disgraceful Customer Service
Apologies for the long post, I'll try and shorten it as much as I can: I was planning to leave Sky after being a customer for 8 years. I clicked through to a referral email link a friend sent me that would entitle us both to £50 off our bills if I signed up to Virgin Media. I was looking at the different options, but I…

Moving into place with internet so what happens to current EE contract?
Hi everybody, I'm currently on month 7 of an 18 month fibre contact with EE but due to some issues I'll be relocating. The issue is that that place already has internet so I don't need to move my contract to the new place. If I cancel with EE what would I have to pay? I had a look on the EE site and it says that with the…

Using OFCOM.
I have FTTC with Plusnet and am having a terrible time trying to get BT OR to disconnect from a cabinet almost 1 Km away and reconnect to a new cabinet just around the corner from me (Maybe 150Metres). The problem is not with Plusnet, but OR. I have a complete record of Plusnet in their Member Centre, challenging OR and…

Virgin Media - is it worth complaining about a misleading offer?
So I initially signed up to Virgin Media a couple of years ago on a Black Friday deal getting 50mbps (which went up to 100mbps) for £17 a month for the first year. (12 month contract). At the end of the contract, I received an email from Virgin Media saying if I took out another 12 month contract they'd give me a £7.50…

Do only BT offer a 50 Mb product?
I've tried a couple of addresses in the MSE comparison tool - and only BT offer an "average 50 Mb" fibre broadband. All the others are 35/6 or 62 Mbit services. I think 50 Mb with BT might be a better service all things considered than say a 63 Mbit product with a less mainstream supplier like Vodafone. E.g. better…
