I have recently moved to a new area, a move that was forced on me and virgin media were told this. Why should I…

TalkTalk
Ive been with Talktalk for approx 7 years now and I stupidly agreed on the phone to another 2 year contract. This contract is due to end in January 2013. However I am recieving such a poor service, the internet is unusable after 5pm. I have been on talktalk forum where many people are complaining of the same issue. Yet…

Cheapest Broadband
Before I start, I'd best say that I'm not looking for no frills broadband. Instead I'm looking for a good speed (10meg) and unlimited or nearly unlimited usage. I'm moving into a flat where the phone line has been deactivated so not only do I get any 'switching' deals, I may also have to pay to get the line reactivated. So…

Wise to switch from Sky to BT Infinity?
Hi all, I'm currently at wits end trying to decide if I should switch ISP's, especially now that BT Infinity is in my area with friends local who get 37mb speeds, compared to my 2mb connection which is a hassle. At the moment, our TV and Broadband is with Sky, and phone with BT which equates to: TV Packages: £25 Broadband:…

BT Billing Issues
I apologise if this is the wrong place to post this, so please let me know if it is. I cancelled BT broadband back in January, and switched to Plusnet. BT basically ignored this and continued to bill me for broadband - which resulted in me calling up, speaking to a customer support person who suggested I pay then see if I…

Virgin Media Disconnection Fee
Hi, I've just moved my internet and phone package from Virgin Media to Talk Talk, and Virgin have asked for a £24.00 disconnection charge. I was out of contract with Virgin. My issue is that I didn't disconnect - I just transferred provider. Moreover, Talk Talk said they'd take care of the transfer and there was no mention…

Moving from Virgin Media - What's involved?
I have just BB and phone with Virgin Media but they are working out to be the most expensive by far. However I understand there is no competitor using the same Virgin media cables; is that right? If so, then what is involved in moving to one of the other suppliers that use BT lines? We have an old disconnected BT phone…

Broadband in Caravan? No Phoneline?
Hi. Looking for a bit of help. I'm moving into a static caravan in a few weeks, and could really do with having broadband, as I need it for my business, XBox Live, downloads etc. Is there any way I can get broadband without a phoneline to connect the modem to? Dongles aren't really very useful, due to speeds/caps etc If…

Virginmedia customers, beware of this scam I just got!
I've been with virginmedia for 4 months, and I have a 30mbit package with no phone or tv. I got a phone call from virginmedia offering me an upgrade from 30mbit to 60mbit, and a landline with free weekend calls for an extra 4.50/month. This strikes me as a total scam, since the kind Sir Richard Branson has personally…

Breaking a broadband contract
Gaah! I've just had a huge bill for over £200 from my old broadband company for breaking my contract with them. Basically we moved recently and I was fed up with their poor service all round so decided to move to BT. I realised I might have to pay a fee but not that much! Without any previous warning letters they have sent…

Plusnet Charge for New Line?
Just helping a friend out with a switch from VM cable to Plusnet (he has been paying too much to VM for years for hardly used services). As it's a switch from cable, a new or reconnected BT line will be required. Does anyone know how much Plusnet are currently charging for this (used to be around £60 IIRC)? Secondly, the…

Terminating Virgin Media Contract
When we moved into our current home we had Virign Media installed (Fibre Optic Broadband, TV and Phone). I'm just wondering what happens if, while still under the initial contract, we move house to an area where Virgin Media Fibre Optic isn't available. Will they let us move onto their normal broadband/phone line or would…

BT Infinity on different line?
Does anyone know if it's possible to get BT Infinity Broadband but to have the line rental with another company? It's just BT is quite expensive for telephone and line rental. £129 (pa) or £14.50(?)(pcm). Or do you have no choice but to pay BT for phone line rental as well? Ideally if I could split the two I would probably…
