Broadband in Caravan? No Phoneline?

Hi. Looking for a bit of help. I'm moving into a static caravan in a few weeks, and could really do with having broadband, as I need it for my business, XBox Live, downloads etc. Is there any way I can get broadband without a phoneline to connect the modem to? Dongles aren't really very useful, due to speeds/caps etc
If not, how difficult is it to get a phoneline fitted to a static caravan?? Can anyone advise?
Thanks

BT have universal service obilgation for regular dwellings, caravans are a grey area,as they can be regarded as temporary, so dont come under the USO.. there are many caravan sites where telephone services have been provided, but the site owner would have to agree to BT putting services in, also, BT could charge excess construction if the caravan couldnt be served easily from existing services in the area...do any other caravans near you have service ??, if they do you probably could have service at the standard install price, if you are the first one to consider service and the site owner has no objection, then you may get service but at a price, you may even have to pay excess construction if others have service, but there is no spare capacity and new construction is required, you probably will need a BT Planner to visit and advise,0

Satellite broadband is available, but not cheap. Usually a hefty install fee.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I'm writing this in my caravan using a 3 dongle, downloadspeed is 3 meg, which is plenty fast enough for me!0

I was going to suggest a dongle, too. Go to the carphone warehouse/go online and work out which would be best for you.0

OP makes it clear in their original post that a dongle will not give sufficient bandwidth, therefore a landline or satellite link is the only viable option. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

but is the OP aware of the options available?
For example, using a Three Mifi in one of our office buildings we get a faster speed through that wifi point on the mobile network than we can get from a BT landline adsl!
Swings, roundabouts...0 -
only way of getting broadband in a caravan would be using homeplugs attached to the main house power supply.
or an long ethernet cable or wifi.
But no chance of getting a phone line installed to one.0 -

have you spoken to the caravan site... to find out if they offer anthing ?
Im online right now in my "holiday caravan" that we are staying in for 11 months of the year
we have wireless on a network here and parts of this park are on wifi..
otherwise you will need a dongle we have a 3 dongle on standby but cant remember last tome needed to use it0 -
Satellite broadband will be next to useless for XBOX Live (assuming that the OP is playing games online), the latency will be too high.
Realistically you're going to need a phone line + ADSL connection installed to best meet your requirements0
