Cheapest Broadband

Before I start, I'd best say that I'm not looking for no frills broadband. Instead I'm looking for a good speed (10meg) and unlimited or nearly unlimited usage.
I'm moving into a flat where the phone line has been deactivated so not only do I get any 'switching' deals, I may also have to pay to get the line reactivated.
So far the cheapest combination I've found is:
Primus Land Line at £6.79 however the agent I spoke to said that the line would be up within 2 weeks but I may have to pay £59 activation fee. They wouldn't know until a week before the line is active!?! Really? Can they not find out in advance?
o2 Broadband; as a o2 customer (I'm counted as having less than 2 years with them due to my sim being 'deactivated' due to non-use) I'll get £6.25 for the first 6months and then £12.50. O2 no longer offer just line rental.
I'm only looking for line rental. I'll be using my mobile for all calls.
What do you think of these? Can I get comparable services cheaper?
Cheers

Totally depends on what is available on your exchange-broadband is exchange-specific. Do an exchange search on www.samknows.com for your LLU options.
Likewise, the speed is largely determined by exchange distance, so 10MBps may be impossible from any supplier, unless you have access to cable. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
