Does anyone know the common/case law about how much an internet supplier can charge you for cancelling the contract? I entered an 18-month one with AOL in February 08 (was ill at the time and didn't respond in the required 7 days to cancel) and now they want £187 cancellation fee for the remaining 10 months of the…

Have virgin phone/broadband & sky+....want sky talk, broadband and tv....help!!!
At the moment we have sky+ and use virgin for phone and broadband. I'm sure it would be much more cost effective to have everything from sky and take advantage of the free broadband as we pay for it at the moment. The problem is we don't have a bt line and it seems that any saving we make day to day will end up being…

Has anyone else switched from TalkTalk to Sky?
I've been with TalkTalk for a few years but have finally decided to switch because I'm fed up of my connection dropping out and having pointless conversations with people in India. Thing is, my line rental and broadband was LLU (unbundled) and I want to switch back to BT and take advantage of Sky's broadband…

Avoiding the £125 reconnection charge
Choosing NTL as my TV, phone, provider two years ago I was locked into the Cable broadband service for some time. The reason I couldnt leave was due to the £125 reconnection fee BT wanted to charge in order for me to get any ADSL service. Renegotiating with NTL was easier and worked out cheaper than many ADSL deals. Now,…

First of all, I've scoured MSE for any mention of this and I'm amazed it's not discussed anywhere... http://www.quidco.com/talktalk/ Anyway, I'm a bit confused as the Quidco page talks about the Broadband having a monthly cost (depending on the package) but if you go to the Talktalk website it's all sold as a bundled…

Am I right in thinking mobile broadband in no good?
Basically I'm trying to cut back at the moment. I only have a landline for the internet so was thinking about scrapping my landline and current broadband deal for mobile broadband but having read some of the treads on here maybe that isn't a very good option. Any thoughts welcome! (NB I'm not in a cable area) Thanks!
