Virgin - aaarrrgghh!

Please help - I'm trying to get a MAC code from Virgin as I cant wait to leave them - they are appalling. Have spent hours every day this week listening to their awful muzac on the phone and just cannot get them to answer me. I've emailed customer services only to be given yet another phone number to call. I am a non-cable customer so apparantly the normal customer services cant help me.
It would seem that only one person works for the non-cable side of Virgin and he has an aversion to answering the phone.
Has anyone else managed to get a MAC code off them and if so, please god tell me how you managed it cos i'm getting to the stage where i'm going to throw my phone out of the window - possibly with myself still attached!!:mad:

I've got though twice in the last month or so but they did take a while to pick up and then another while to transfer me to retentions (I was just adament I wasn't going to give up as I've had a gutful with them!!) We are non-cable too.
First time was during the day (early afternoon of I recall) but I had to ring back when dh was here as it is in his name, so rang back one evening (around 6/7ish) to cancel.
They sent the mac that same night and we are very nearly shot of them now - should be transferred Thursday!! :j :j :j
I used the number they have within the customer zone.
Have you tried ringing at different times of the day? You may have to hold on a while though - it's their attempt at squeezing more money from customers who have had enough of bieng ripped of already imo!
