HSBC Regular Saver Maturity
Hi, Wondering how I can tell if my HSBC Regular Saver has matured and completed the 5 day process please? The rate has changed to 2%, but the product name is still shown as REG SAVER-1 rather than Flexible Saver. Does this change please? Also 5% isn't a rate that is competitive for me anymore. Do you think I should just…

Mortgage Overpayment vs Pension
hi, I was hoping someone can check the math for me. I am retiring in 16 years and there are 14 years left on the mortgage. I have an £500 gross pay to either pay into the mortgage or the pension. Lets work with 15 years Pension: so £500pm month into a pension at 6% comes out to £145,409.36 Mortgage: £500-40% = £300 into…

Too old at 73?
I'm considering a S&S ISA for the upcoming new tax year as it's not something I do compared to 'cash' savings. I have maximum in PB's, Cash ISAs in excess of £100k, Regular Savings accounts, Fixed Rate savings spanning from 12-18months. Instant access funds which are more than sufficient in an emergency. A pension plan…

regular saving accounts
Are regular savings account worth it? the interest % are good but can only put £150- £400 per month max. As they pay annual interest, i assume you lose out on compounding interest. So are you better off just putting in the best % interest account? Had money in an isa which was paying rubbish% so trying to maximise (10K)
