Has anyone sold gold bars back to the Royal Mint, and how safe/secure is the postage of it?

No because the buy back rate was poor, it’s not actually RM they buy they just use another bullion dealer, then there is the postage risk however good the insurance is. Take them by hand to a dealer.Hope you don’t regret buying bars on which CGT is due over UK coins which it is not.0

I sold some a while ago to Tavex Gold, Southbank House, Black Prince Rd, London SE1 7SJ. Excellent personal service, by appointment only, in a very secure environment. I think they might also offer a mail-in service. Lithuanian or Estonian staff, using a Lithuanian of Estonian Bank, can't remember the detail. Perfect English speakers.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been looking at a local bullion dealer also, so looks like that is my best option.0
