Multiple ISAs one provider?
Are there any providers that offer opening multiple ISAs (e.g. 2 Cash and/or 2 S&S) within the same tax year? Why? I want to save money for my kids and don't want them to gain control of it when they are 18 (as with a JISA). I don't mind it taking from my own allowance (as unfortunately I won't reach it) and having…

Shawbrook fixed term ISA T's & C's query
It has been mentioned in a few threads that the Shawbrook fixed term ISA is unusual, as it has no 15/30 day fixed funding window. In the T's & C's of the three year fix ISA it says . Please note that the Bank reserves the right to withdraw this product at any time. If the product is withdrawn, you can continue to put more…

Flexible ISAs: Current year subscriptions can no longer be replaced in a different ISA
This came up in a thread on the main savings board, but I thought it worthy of its own thread, as several forumites make use of ISA flexibility to move money between their various ISAs and it has been the subject of quite a few threads in the past month or so. Original thread is:…

Drip-feed from Cash ISA to S&S ISA
In the new tax year I plan to add £10,000 to a fixed Cash ISA and £10,000 to my existing S&S ISA (HSBC GIC). Under the new rules, am I allowed to additionally open a flexible easy-access Cash ISA, fund it with the £10,000 intended for the S&S ISA, then use that to drip-feed the S&S ISA? Thanks in advance for any replies.

ISA transfer to ZOPA - FAILED
Hi everyone, I was looking for some help/advice on what I should do next? I tried to do an ISA transfer mid December when Zopa started taking transfers, It still hasn't been completed and I currently have no access to my funds. After complaining to Zopa, I found out their system had no tolerance to accept funds greater…

Plum...Is it just me ?
Eventually got round to setting up a cash ISA as I realised I was going to end up paying a fair bit of tax on one of my savings accounts which was bringing in over £100 a month in interest. Plum seemed the obvious choice but I just can't believe what a guddle it turned out to be. You have to link a current account etc…

How do Flexible (Easy Access) ISA's work with the New Rules (24/25) ?
I appreciate that Easy Access Flexible ISA's have previously given you the opportunity to: * Add in cash (into Easy Access Flexible) up to the ISA limit (£20k) * Take it all out again * Add back in (same account) within the same Tax Year (up to £20k) My question is, now that you can subscribe to multiple cash ISA's in the…

NEW ISA Rule 2024
Hi, can you save with multiple providers of 2024/25 Cahs ISA? For example. You save 5000 with one bank cash ISA and save another 15000 with another bank cahs ISA. Both added same or less than 20000 limit. I think HMRC allows save same type ISA with different providers from 2024? Thanks

Flexible cash isa +S&S Isa
I deposit £250/ month into a S&S isa. Can I open a flexible cash ISA with 20K and reduce my cash ISA holding by £250 each month so by month 12 I have 17K in the cash ISA and will have invested 3K into the S&S ? Similarly, If I decide to invest more one month into the S&S can I just offset but reducing my cash isa by the…

ISA Providers; Are most choosing to ignore the Chancellor's new ISA Reforms?
I contacted the provider of my Innovative Finance (flexible) ISA because I was having difficulties finding any providers of an easy access ISA that would allow me to make partial transfers-out to Proplend in accordance with the 10 Nov 2023 ISA reform Newsletter issued by the UK Chancellor in readiness for the New Tax Year,…

First ever ISA just finished - new lower Interest rate today - what do I do please?
Hi There, Sorry completely new at this. 2023-2024 opened up my first ISA (Santander) fixed 1 year 4.15% ISA and managed to put in 10,830.57 before it closed last summer. Today (1st May) this ISA rate dropped to 1.2% and still only has the 10,830.57 in it Santander says tomorrow that I will be given the Interest (I presume…

Cash ISA transfer from Santander to KRBS
Just a post to praise KRBS and Santander for their speed of transferring a cash ISA. Fixed term Santander cash ISA matured yesterday, 02/05/2024. Three weeks ago, I had requested a transfer to KRBS upon maturity. The transfer request has been confirmed back then by both, KRBS and Santander. Today, 03/05/2024, the ISA…

Transferring ISAs to Virgin Money
I opened a fixed rate ISA with Virgin and want to transfer other ISAs to it, one from Santander and another Virgin one. Because the other Virgin one has a different sort code to my new one apparently I have to fill in a paper form and post it the same with the Santander. I find it incredible these days I can't do these…

Is it worth withdrawing existing investment accounts and reinvesting into ISAs?
In the last few years I set up a few different investment accounts on different platforms and invested a relatively small amount into each... * A Nutmeg Stocks & Share account. * LoanPad P2P Lending account. * Kufflink P2P Lending account. * Crowdproperty P2P Lending account. But even though all these platforms offer ISA…

S & S ISA, rules, tax and things
If I have a S&S ISA and grow the value by buying and selling, I don't pay CGT or tax on dividends, ok. Is there a limit on how far the ISA can grow? Suppose I just want to sell the shares and hold the money there as cash? Does that make any difference? If say the original 20k becomes 40k, can I transfer 20k to "somewhere…

Lifetime ISA withdrawal
I have a lifetime ISA. I wanted to understand the implications of withdrawing from a lifetime ISA (for an invalid reason i.e. not for pension and for first time house buy - mortgage overpayment in my case as I did not understand how you "could lose more than you put in", so I called the provider. Here is the scenario I…

Opening more than one ISA in a tax year
Hi all, I've read the new ISA rules for April 24/25 and they're pretty clear. However, the only thing I can't pin down is am I allowed to open more than one ISA in the same tax year? I feel like there were some rules floating around that you could only open one ISA account in a year but I might be getting muddled. I'm only…

Trading 212 easy access ISA 5.2% APY and 1% cashback. Too good to be true?
Hi all, This sounds just too good to be true and I wonder if I have missed anything or if this is just an account that beats all the other market offers at the moment? I am a bit confused... Trading 212 offers an ISA and offers 1% cashback (not counting towards an ISA allowance). The cashback is paid within 3 business days…
