Transfer Out Plum ISA
Has anybody successfully transferred out a Cash ISA from Plum? I initially opened an ISA with Cynergy Bank but as part of the account opening, Plum (Plum Fintech Ltd (Saveable Limited - FCA: 739214)), wasn't listed. I contacted Cynergy once the account was open, only to be told they only accept transfers from institutions…

Paper Cash ISA transfers - interest in switch period query
Have finally moved a Cash ISA between NSI and Shawbrook - usual NSI paper method complicating it. Originally the funds were sent early May - but that cheque didn't arrive. The new one arrived a few days ago - so SB said they'll back date interest to then. Do NSI pay interest for the interim period?

ISA/ SIPP split
Hello Each month I contibute to my SIPP, as well as a Stocks and Shares ISA. I am a higher rate tax payer. My SIPP provider claims 20% tax relief and I claim the other 20% from HMRC. I currently have a contribution split of 55% ISA and 45% SIPP. I claim child benefit. In order to avoid High Income Child Benefit Charge, I…

Are Flexible ISAs a red flag for HMRC? 🚩🚩🚩🚩
I'm surprised that flexible ISAs for stocks and shares are legal! So if you withdraw finance from your ISA then you can simply top it back up to the limit within a given time period. I've £40,000 worth of company shares acrued in a Save as You Earn Scheme. Now they've matured, the platform handling these shares have…

Do you declare Interest on an ISA as part of Household Income when applying for a grant?
My son is applying for a grant to attend a school in the creative arts field. We have to fill in our income and evidence which will decide how much support we get. Besides the usual P60 and payslips, the form states I need to declare : "Statement of interest earned on savings. Declare all UK and international accounts" No…

How to transfer an ISA from Trading212 to another ISA provider?
I assumed it would be easy but the provider wants a sort code and account to Trading212, they don't use sort codes. So, does that mean I need to transfer it back to my bank account, but doesn't doing this remove the "ISA wrapper"?

How much tax free interest can I earn ?
I am thinking of investing £20k in a 12 month Nationwide bond at 5% so £1000 ! I have maxed out my ISA allowance. I understand that it depends on "income" of less than £17570 ? Does that include PIP ?

Does any one here have a trading 212 isa? I have one and I'm attempting to get money out to fund something else. Its very easy to pay into I must admit. but when it comes to getting money out, its virtually impossible. you have to know account numbers, sort codes and passwords of every bank account you've ever owned. I…

The money left my account Friday 22nd arrived at Saffron Tuesday the 26th so 3 days where it is not in my account and were I receive no interest. Has this happened to anybody else? Is it…

Paragon Bank ISA transfer

FSCS limit and S&S ISAs
I've got a FTSE all-share index tracker over 120k with Octopus Money, previously Virgin, well over the FSCS compensation limit of 85k. Should I transfer half to another provider to bring it back under the limit, or is it not a concern with stocks and shares? If they were to fail would I lose anything above 85k, or would I…

Plum - App Issues
Tried to open a Plum Cash ISA, on the app. Took me through the account setup, and eventually got to the ID & Address verification screen. Both boxes were marked as Verified (I had not sent photos of any documents at this point), and I could not continue. My only option was to press the X at the top of the screen, which…

Newbie looking at ISA stocks and Shares
I'm one of the many people who will be affected by the changes of ISA savings amounts for saving in April 2027. I therefore thought I would invest £500 this year as a trial run. I have put the rest into a Trading 212 cash ISA this April 2026. I have never invested in Stocks and Shares so am not sure where to start. I did…

Is it possible to do this or do I need to find another provider?
So seems Trading212 offer the top % for cash ISA. At the end of the last tax year I opened an account & put money in it. This serves a purpose - it's my emergency pot money. Any interest it generates I want staying within that pot. I don't want it mixing with anything. This week I had a long running claim come to an end &…
