Paper Cash ISA transfers - interest in switch period query

Have finally moved a Cash ISA between NSI and Shawbrook - usual NSI paper method complicating it.
Originally the funds were sent early May - but that cheque didn't arrive. The new one arrived a few days ago - so SB said they'll back date interest to then.
Do NSI pay interest for the interim period?
