They tried to overcharge me too, phoned them up and they say they have sorted it. Will have to wait and see...The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I'm convinced they don't want me to upgrade lol, I called yesterday and was advised that my "upgrade day" is today, so called back today and their systems are off for maintenance.
I am currently on a £30 (well, slightly less than that due to VAT cut) contract and am hoping to get a new phone and get it down to about £20 or less, looking for 600 mins, about the same of texts, and free internet. To me it sounds about reasonable looking at what others have got. I'd appreciate any comments (or a reality check!) and will let you know how I get on.

Had similar problems with two contracts I renegotiated. Sorted out now, but only after a lot of messing about. Get everything in writing to be sure with O2.0 -

yes you should be able to get 600mins/1000text/internet/free phone for £20-25 for 18months.
The key thing is to make sure you sound genuine about leaving, ask for your PAC with conviction and they will always ask "why & what deal?" check other tariffs for an estimate and then negotiate for the deal above (for they will match your mentioned deal, so quote the phone, mins and text you are 'leaving' to get).
Also, don't ring TOO many times since they log your calls to the retention-line (I know from personal experience grr). So they know your bluffing after 5/6 after-calls.0 -
Hi RichyRich,
Now when i got my deal i didn't ask for my pac, just said that i was giving then 30 days notice and that i would start afresh with a new number from another network.
Look around at what "DEALS" there are, and have all the info in front of you when you call, just be nice and have a chat with them, but know what you want!0 -

Everyone seems to be getting the nokia 5800 with 600 minutes, 1000 texts and unlimited internet for £20 pm. If you don't want the phone go for the refurbished blackberry bold and sell on ebay for £250.0
