ive been reeading everybodies retentions deals on here, and noticed no one has received an Iphone. i just wanted to know if it is possible to get an iphone on retentions?

Been offered the 600mins one for £25, tried to budge him to £20 but he wasnt having it. Not happy about paying an extra £90 over the course of the contract than others have been given.That was for tocco ultra. Will ring back later of tommorrow. I really want my new phone now ahah

Not quite so good anymore, phone arrived today and it was a refurb with just charger and 1gb memory card!!! :shocked: and there was absolutely no mention of this when I agreed to the deal, not best pleased at all, needless to say I was on phone to o2 straight away - someone is going to give me a call back.

Jimster I take it yours was brand new with all accessories?

I always thought that deal was too good to be true lilstrum! I got near enough the same deal for £20 a month with double the amount of texts. If you're looking a brand new one, you'll have to pay a lot more I imagine. By the way, refurb doesn't mean second hand. It'll still be a new phone, but one that some else has returned. It's only been out around 6 months, so there still won't be any second hand phones about really!

Yea this is true, I would be happy with it if a) she'd told me it was refurb in the first place (I'm fairly certain she didn't) and b) if it had all the accessories with it - what on earth am I meant to do with a smartphone with a 1gb memory card and NO data cable? rubbish.

Anyway spoken to the o2 lady - its quite shambolic the way o2 operate to be honest. Was evident fairly early on that im not going to get a new one (not yet anyway ) but their going to swap it for another refurb kit tomorrow.
By the way my invoice does say 'Nokia 5800 3G Red Grade A FULL KIT' which indicates it is a refurb but also has full kit.

She also said sales are told categorically that refurb kits have all the accessories (she used her mate getting a refurb iphone as an example), so I asked if I could keep swapping until I get one with all the kit and she sort of laughed and said she suppossed so. I might just do that until they either get lucky and I get one with all the bits or they get bored of me and send me a new one.

hold out for £20 a month, i got same deal as above but 2000 text P\M with Blackberry Curve
