I phoned o2 and told the girl i wanted to go PAYG as it has 02-02 calls etc.... then she tried to offer me the simplicity deal of 600 mins 1200 texts and free 02-02 for 19.58, i hmmmmd and haaaaaad, then asked her what phone i could get for around 20pm! she said i defo couldnt have the n96 which i didnt want neway but i asked about the Nokia 5800 and she said "no thats coming out at 35pm"

I always go over my bill at the moment and evenlast year i run up nearly 250quid after i came home from oz!!!!

So i think i'll just go PAYG if they wanna mess about then go and get a better contract somewhere else!

    Im raging!!

I think you talked to upgrades they'll offer you !!!!!! all, you need to talk to retentions

I selected the "thinking of leaving us" option...and they said "you're through to retentions"

I phoned back there again and they are sending me a PAYG sim in the post!!!

Its probably a better option for me as i need to reduce my dd every mth but i am quite annoyed i wasnt offered any of the deals other posters had!

They told me i txt 1200 pm and he offered my simplicity again for 15pm but if im honest i wanted a new good phone for between 15-20pm but clearly im not a valued customer!!

    :(

Just got off the phone with o2 and got the following:

    18 months
    600 mins xnet
    1000 texts
    o2-o2 bolt-on
    blackberry bolt-on
    Blackberry Bold 9000
Pay-as-u-go usb internet (One off £15 charge)

    All for £20 per month

    Can I just ask:
Did you speak to upgrades or retentions?

To which tariff and provider did you threaten to switch to in order to get this deal?

    Thanks

You need to be more proactive and tell them what you want! Tell them you want them to match something like this deal, but don't tell them it involves cashback!

Just tell them you can get free 5800, 400mins, unlimited texts for around £20 with Orange. And that you want your PAC code if they won't give it to you. If they don't ask for your PAC code and hang up. When you get it, someone might either ring you, or you can try again! That's what I did! :D

I phoned O2 regarding an upgrade from my simplicity. However, I was told it'd be best for me to wait till I had been with them for atleast 6 month, as I would then be offered some sort of deal.

    Currently on: 600mins + 1000txt + web bolt-on @ £20 pm

    Hoping for: 300-400mins + 300txt + web bolt-on @ £10-£15 pm (not including a phone)

    Is this unrealistic?

Why is it only me that has to pay £25 for that deal!? :@ Theyre adamant they cant do it for £20 on a SE c905

No, its not just you :) I tried yesterday and was told there was no way they could do a c905 on that deal @ £20/month. I mentioned blackberry and was practically laughed off the phone. I didn't push very hard (too much to do yesterday) and didn't go for my PAC but I'm going to have another stab in the next few days. What tactics have you tried to get the £20/month 905? I just hit the thinking of leaving us option from the main menu.

Just make sure you get all the bit's and pieces since someone has already posted about missing several things out of their refurb box. By the way, it's not an original box you'll get.

What I gather from my experience is that you don't get any accessories with the refurb 5800s - swapped my original for another and exactly the same thing - just charger and 1gb memory card. Will be interested to know what you get bazza1603
