how hard did you have to bargin?

It was my 2nd phonecall, I rang 2 days before the end of the month at 7.50pm in the hope of getting someone who had not had a good sales day/month. Didn't haggle at all!

Just got off the phone with o2 and got the following:

    18 months
    600 mins xnet
    1000 texts
    o2-o2 bolt-on
    blackberry bolt-on
    Blackberry Bold 9000
Pay-as-u-go usb internet (One off £15 charge)

    All for £20 per month

Had that put into writing too and sent to me with the phone...very pleased I think :D

Correction to my post 2924 it wasn't the BB Curve but BB Bold 9000 - this was the deal I got no payg dongle but free o2 Wireless Broadband (they already give me the Broadband free so was told could have for a friend or relative)

Does seem that they are pushing the dongles and you get a better deal if you accept one, mine was also £15. Don't know if I'll ever use it though.

Hello all, I would like a little help regarding my contract.

    I am Currently on:
    K850i
    400 mins
    1000 texts
    unlimited 02 to 02 calls
    £20 a month

but the problem is, i want an Iphone for my next phone.

so i was thinking, is this the best way for me to do it:

Buy the Iphone for £300-400 on Pay As You Go
and then retentions my contract, and see if i can get myself the highest priced phone possible to sell for as much as i could (ideas anyone?!)
with my retentions deal, i make sure i get unlimited internet, and then i put my sim card into my iPhone and continue with that.

would this save me the most money?!

if i was to get the iPhone contract it would cost me:
    £96 for the phone itself
    £35 a month
which gets 500 mins and 600 texts.

Please, Please, Please help me out on this one.

    Thanks in advance

Just called o2 and asked about the Samsung Pixon and Blackberry Bold. Was offered:

    1200 mins
    2000 text messages
Unlimited internet bolt on (or Blackberry bolt on, if going for the Bold)
£30/month on an 18 month contract, instead of £45

Currently have 800 mins, 2400 text messages, unlimited internet bolt on and a N95 8GB and am paying £25 instead of £40. Average bill (after discount) has been £32.

The lady in retentions told me she could only offer me a discount on a tariff of £30 or more - which only gives the £45 one mentioned above. Has anybody else heard this? I think I will be shopping around a little more and calling again...
