After my lack of luck yesterday which lead to me requesting my PAC, I had a call from o2 today - just reiterated the same offer from yesterday (£45 tariff discounted to £30). When I called back 202 this afternoon, I was told they would have access to a "pot of money" for my loyalty from 23rd May onwards. Apparently this is because I swapped my first phone on this contract for a new one. Advisor today seemed a lot more helpful so I will wait...
  • Interesting... tomorrow is my 'upgrade day' so i thought i'd call up and ask a little question..

"Can I upgrade and get a Nokia E71?":
    "Yes, of course"

Now, that's very interesting since they're not on the O2 website - it makes me wonder what other handsets they have hiding away that don't show online

    If i can get unlimited data, 600 minutes and 1000 texts for £20 a month + E71 i'll be a happy man

I was offered the Nokia E71 on that deal but took the C905 only to be called back saying they had made a mistake and that it would be £25 with C905 but stood my ground and they honoured £20. Ask them if they have a Nokia N85, still within two weeks on contract so can change to it but cannot see it on their website but could be tempted if they have it.
  • Just phoned them again.. i can get an iPhone and they'll give me free broadband for a year.. oh the choices. I wasn't even talking to retentions yet!

I called to give 30 days notice on my sim only. Was told i can do that now or he can send me a PAC code and a PAYG sim so i can transfer over onto PAYG (why not just convert the SIM i have now).

I chose the sim option as it was 7 days instead of 30. Not offered anything to stay, no asking me why i was going just offered PAC there and then.

What tariff did they offer you on this deal?
  • What tariff did they offer you on this deal?
I was only talking to the 'upgrade' guy.. so no mention of what tarrif - he said they cannot discount their tarrifs at all for iPhones (but i already knew that)

Gonna phone up today and quote the Three deal with the E71 @ £20 a month..
  • Ok, i took their offer!

    Free Nokia E71
    18 month contract
    600 minutes
    1000 texts
    Unlimited web bolt-on
Free home broadband for 12 months (was already on O2 broadband and 'out of contract'.. made sure to mention that and had to ask for it specifically)
    £20 a month

I'm very happy with this and I didn't even talk to retentions! I just called the upgrade line.. makes me wonder what else I could have got through retentions. Anyway, very happy, my monthly 'communications' bill is now £14 a month less (was previously paying £27 a month).

After being fobbed off by retentions with ' we can only do 1200mins and 1000 txts for £30, discounted from £45' three times within 20 mins this morning. I phoned upgrades and was put thru to a lovely lady in retentions and
I have been given the ff:

    Brand new blackberry any model,
    1000 anytime any network,
    1100 texts
    O2 long weekends
    Unlimited blackberry bolt on.
    for £20.00 pcm
I am chuffed to bits, was previously on £25 pcm for 750 mins ,100 txts and 1MB data. I'm in my third year with them.

My iphone contract is up in a few days and have been offered the £30 month tariff for £15 with free curve and unlimited bberry internet.

My plan was to sell off the curve thus paying off nearly all of the contract (15*18=270) and continue using my iphone untill the new iphone comes out and get a new contract.
Will the bberry internet bolton give free iphone internet if not can the bolt on be changed?

Now I would want to move my existing number to the new iphone contract but keep the old contract running with a new number (to give mum/dad) as its nearly free. Is this possible?

    Thanks
