they might offer you some discount for a 18 month contract, but i doubt it would be much as they go on your monthly spend over X amount of time. Ring 100, option 2, then 2 again from o2 phone

    I went with;

    600 Mins
    2000 Text
    Unlimited Data

+ Free New Blackberry Curve to resell on 18 month deal, £20 a month

does anyone know if pic message are uncluded in that? I presume they will be cus of the free data? thanks
Picture messages count as 3 text messages i think.
And i'm jealous, i only got 1000 texts with my nokia 5800, not that i'll ever use it up!
  • my contract runs out on june 3rd can i negotiate a new one from may 3rd thanks in advance;)

Im currently on o2. contract is coming to an end and rang up e2save.
They offered me 18month contract Sim Only deal. works out at just under £9 a month, inc 200mins and 200txts.

Has anyone seen any better deals.

Last year I was on a 12month free line rental after cashback claims+quidco so I was actually in Profit.

Im not bothered about a new handset. e2save dont seem to have any 12month free deals or mega cheap option

    Just been offered

    200 minutes
    400 text
    free o2 ->o2 calls

18 month contract free for 13 months and then 10 per month effectively costing £2.33 a month.

Is this good if no phone required or has any one had any better?

    Thanks
  • My contract ran out on the 22nd. I get 1000offpeak minutes, 500txts for £20pm for12months. Last year I got £85 credit (was £100 but the vat reduced it) and £5 discount off line rental a month.

I called and they said all they could offer me was the same deal with no discount as they don't do discounts on 12month contracts now (is this true?) with £85 credit again.

I only really use what I get free so I'm classed as a low user but it doesn't seem so great that they can't offer me anything better? They kept pushing me towards simplicity..

    Thanks for any help!

    Thanks paperclip4201 for confirming

Good old o2, they always seem to mess something up, rang up for reference number for delivery tracking, what a surprise, system errors last Friday, typical, although lady just reordered it without issue and very sorry, should be here Thursday, shall see.

I went with Curve as noticed they went for slightly more if new than recondition bold's as they will just come in plain white box even if brand new.

    thanks mate:beer:
  • Been offered -

    Nokia 5800
    600mins
    1000txt
    Unlimited Internet
    Free Home Broadband 12mnth

    18mnth/£20 month

Quite happy as I'm a fairly light user and didn't expect much.
Not sure about the broadband option though. Quite happy with current supplier (sky which is only £5 month). Anybody know if they would be flexible and offer something else in place of the home broadband?

They can do 12 months deals and with discounts- the best option for you is to quote the best SIM only deal on any network (T-Mobile Solo 20 I believe), and say that you are going to leave them for that offer.

At this point I would state how much you are spending with them a year instead a month- 240 quid a year in your case. Say that you can't go onto an 18 month deal and if they want their 240 quid for the year they will have to provide you with a 12 month deal with a decent ish phone. Play hardball with them and generally they relent, especially if you are not using the minutes every month.
