For an alternative to B&M / Home Bargains, there's the One Below/ One beyond shops which even though they're pretty much the same as the former, do attract cashback

Chase kindly sent me a survey today so at least I was able to feedback I was dissatisfied with their current offerings including poor savings rates

I've not been sent a survey, but they're about to see a lot of filling station transactions and nothing else!

After telling me I couldn't come back, sending me a survey asking what would tempt me back was a bit cheeky.

I had the survey a couple of days ago.  I left blunt feedback about the erosion of benefits to the extent there is little or no compelling reason to continue using.

Wonder if Amazon gift card bought at Tesco would earn cashback?

I will test it with a £5 GC from 7/4.
It will work.  They can’t tell what products you bought. They only look at the MCC (Merchant Category Code) to determine whether the transaction is eligible for cashback. Does not matter if you only buy a gift card on its own or buy one along with your food shopping, it will show as a Tesco purchase.

PS. Oh but you can get much higher cashback / discounted Amazon gift cards elsewhere so more than 1% anyway…
The reverse is a problem for me. I commute into London twice a week and do other local train journeys at the weekend but I buy all my tickets through Uber as I get 10% back in Uber Credits. But Chase will register Uber transactions as taxis I assume so I won't get cashback. I also use a work scheme to get vouchers for Sainbury's and Tesco at 4 or 5% off so I don't use my Chase card in the supermarket either. Just the weekly trip to petrol station then - £40 = 40p cashback :(

Just filled up at Costco, and the 1% was awarded, so will just keep chase for fuel and travel.  I get supermarket gift cards through perks at work, as that pays a lot better than 1%

Can anyone confirm that eligible 1% spending made via Curve receives cashback?

I messaged Chase the day the changes were announced and asked if supermarket spending via Curve would qualify, they didn't seem sure.

I had a couple of big purchases to make this month, I did them between 1st and 7th when there was still cashback on almost everything and maxed out my £15 before the 7th so no more cashback for me on anything this month. Just wondered if someone can speak from experience?

    Cheers
