Chase Cashback changing

I've just read some information on my Chase account that their cash back rewards are changing from 7 April 2025. Still £15 per month maximum cash back but only on groceries, fares and at petrol stations. My understanding is that purchases in currencies other than GBP won't earn cash back. Other cards do the above and may be more beneficial.

Just happened to be checking my Chase app and saw that cashback will only apply to a few types of transactions from next month. I liked Chase but will definitely be reducing my use of the account going forward and switching my daily spending to elsewhere.

Cashback on foreign spending was the only reason I would have had for continuing to use Chase, since their savings rate became uncompetitive.Only good now for account switching purposes.3

- for others wanting to verify, they've updated the T&C in the App. See 'Exceptions and T&C apply'.
May be time to look around and see if there are any better cards out there - Chase looking much less appealing.1 -

Was going to start using the DC more as the interest dropped, but won't bother now.

I really dislike how they try and present it as if they're giving you a new benefit rather than reducing an existing one. I wish they had just been upfront and honest about the change.7

Very odd to change mid month, considering that customers qualify for a month at a time.0
