Surprised people haven't mentioned Santander Edge CC. 2% on everything for first year. Yes there is a £3 monthly fee, but this represents £150 spend.0

2% on nearly everything for first year, up to £15 a month.

Need to be a pretty big spender to get that to work. It's £1.50 cashback on £225.
There's better options. I can get about 5% at certain retailers using gift vouchers, then an additional 0.5% on credit cars buying said gift voucher, then a bit more in interest holding the cash for a month.1 -

To get to £15 max you need to spend £750 / mth (for the first year), but there's a £3 fee to take off that.
And yes, use the 2% card to buy gift cards giving 4-5% for extra added cashback.0 -
It's only £1 50 if you have to pay £3 to get it though.0

Less the £3 monthly fee was my point, so you'd only get the £1.50. However the gift cards could be classed as a financial transaction so exempt from cashback (dunno what Santanders rules are but chase didn't allow it) whereas my credit card is on everything that you're allowed to use a credit card for.
And this looks to me pretty much what chase offer

I have Santander Edge CC and it has paid cashback on everything for me including gift cards from employee discount and complete savings and purchases made with Zilch and Cuve cards.3

I messaged Chase the day the changes were announced and asked if supermarket spending via Curve would qualify, they didn't seem sure.
I had a couple of big purchases to make this month, I did them between 1st and 7th when there was still cashback on almost everything and maxed out my £15 before the 7th so no more cashback for me on anything this month. Just wondered if someone can speak from experience?
CheersThe problem you would have would be if there are any oddities among the classifications of the things you’ve bought - having already reversed a payment, you can’t reverse it again. But if you do not have any other cashback card, it either works or it doesn’t and you haven’t lost anything except the cashflow while waiting for the original payment to be released. Also I believe the GBIT is still limited to 3 per month and reversible for 30 days from transaction on the free tier, if that’s the one you have.1 -
I spend about £600 a month (only 400 would qualify on Chase) so £9 per month for the first year. Cashback on pretty much everything. Exception below
Transactions not eligible for cashback
Balance transfers and money transfers.
Buying foreign currency or travellers’ cheques.
Withdrawing cash from a cash machine or over the counter at a bank.
Gambling, including internet gambling and buying lottery tickets.
Direct Debits and standing orders.0 -
I complained to Chase about the loss of benefits and all they offered was a way to close my Account!!!!!!
