Yes I have moved out.  Back in my existing Marcus (4.3%) for  now.  Calls into question my commitment to the Chase 1% cashback and the hassle of funding it to enable each month.

So that's the end of it: from 7/4 no more cashback except for groceries, select transport, and fuel, and no cashback at all outside of UK or payment in non-GBP.

Cashback on foreign spending was the only reason I would have had for continuing to use Chase, since their savings rate became uncompetitive.
Only good now for account switching purposes.

I'm thinking of switching to my Amex Rewards card for normal use. Does anyone know if Amex pays cashback on grocery shopping?

Amex Rewards credit card (if that is the card you are referring to) pays points not cashback (including groceries).

The Nectar Amex certainly does (albeit in Nectar points), all the usual supermarkets & stores. Assume the Rewards Amex would have the same criteria?
