Im late to the Chase bank party, I will be opening a current account with them next week.
Is there is any referral incentive like topcashback or anything else?

Also the interest of 5% on savings is good for first 6 months, unless BR is cut, right?
Anything else i need to be aware of? Thanks
    1. If you close your account you can't rejoin.

    2. The 5% interest rate on savings for new customers falls to 4.75% on 19 February 2025. You're correct that it tracks the base rate but Chase are increasing their margin by 0.25%
Thank you for that. Its good to know the date whrn they reduce the rate.
Does Chase do hard credit check for the acct, I have a mortgage application in flight, dont want to jeopardise that

I believe it's a soft search for ID purposes

Is the Round up account different from the Saver account?

Can i not transfer £10000 in the acct and earn 5%? or is it just for the round ups from debit card transactions that earn 5%?
Reading through the website, saver account is 3.5%

    Round up account is different.

    You can't transfer in.

Only round ups from debit card transactions.

The only way to really 'transfer in' is in increments of like 99p if you spend £1.01 for example - like some forumites did with the digital regular savers.

Apparently Chase don’t do a hard search. You would be better to wait if you are in the process of a mortgage application though just to be safe although I doubt it would affect it that much.

Has anyone managed to rejoin chase after leaving?  Is there a period of time like one year and they let you re-join?
AFAIK they just don't let you rejoin full stop - no cooldown period or anything

Has anyone rented a car with a Chase debit card and received cashback? It looks like it should qualify but wanted to check.

You can't switch just one of your chase current accounts, it will close your entire account.
Be careful completely closing a Chase account - You're burning your bridges behind you.
They won't let you ever open an account again
It’s currently not possible, this is due to a system limitation. It will likely change in future.
  • I see the chase saver rates are down to 3% now. I have moved my spare cash elsewhere now to earn more interest. Have others begun to move their cash elsewhere as well now ? Would be interesting to know how much money has flowed out of their accounts recently,
