In 'edit profile' I see the option to <<Display Skimlinks? >>
As I've never heard of skimlinks can anyone advise?
If you click on Links MSE follows/tracks you and they might get some money.
It's been on here for years.

They are links that if clicked on MSE gets paid.
And have been used on the site for years - there was info about them on the old forum.

Using Safari browser on an iPad there  is a problem using the quote function. If one does so one’s comment ends up in the quote rather than below it. Anyone reading the post will then be unable to distinguish between the original quote and the comment added. I will now try and quote this post and add a comment.

Well it worked fine that time so apologies, but on another board/thread it didn’t.

I am using Safari browser on an iPad and can't see the Forum at all. I can only see it on my PC. My iPad is version 10.3.3 so quite old but this is a money saving site after all so I hope you are not discriminating against users who don't keep paying for new versions of devices that work perfectly well in other respects. The BBC has already stopped those of us with older iPads from using 'Sounds' - I hope MSE is not following suit.
I was wondering if this was the reason I can see the Forum on one iPad which has had all the upgrades, but like you, get only a completely blank page on another iPad which is about the version of yours. That latter iPad is the one I use most, as I don’t like the upgraded version.

It's not 'discrimination', but eventually it becomes impossible to keep compatibility with older versions as things reach end of support or end of life. This is down to the way the software industry works, and not something MSE can do much about as a customer.
