Well, the notifications pop-up started to prove more useful than the deluge of emails (One per thread per visit worked well. One per post is ridiculous.) But now the notifications are broken. The text is white-on-white in the pop-up, and there's nothing at all on the "All Notifications" page. That did work until yesterday...
I agree, in that I'm finding the pop up notifications very useful.  (I unticked "send e-mail" as soon as I realised that's what was happening).   But yes, they do appear to be a little broken at the moment, and don't show at all when you click "more".
    Hopefully they'll be fixed soon.

Also can I just add another vote here for "please make the thanks button change colour once you've thanked a post".

    Thanks.

    Problems trying to multi-quote have been expressed on a few threads;
That one is pretty easy to fix, just hit the quote button on the next post you want to quote before posting your response.

Scrolling through, I've now found a more recent update. But why not list the snags NOW rather than in the next few days. Surely the mse team are working this weekend or is it a case of 'light blue touchpaper'.....

In addition to losing the old site smileys I've realised that all the new smileys are non-animated. I have never come across a forum that doesn't allow animated smileys - please can these be incorporated into the new design (and can we have the old rotfl and horror smileys back too). Also, please can you make it possible to place imported pictures flush left, not centre, and to place smileys at the end of text. I know I've said the last one before :) but there is more than one challenge in the debt-free diaries and challenges that depend on being able to do this.
  • Difficulty editing posts...
I have a regular savings thread where I edit the first few posts of the thread on a regular basis.
When I open a post to edit it, I see all the HTML code.
I cannot save the edits I have made to a long post.
and received an error message saying "Body is 16200 characters too long."

  • I will also add that the "</>" / Toggle HTML symbol is not available when I try to edit that post. (I can see it right now when trying to edit this particular post.)

How do you un-dismiss a post please? I've just accidentally hit the cog on a sticky and dismissed the post, so it has now vanished.  How do I get it back?

Since you now get an email for every reply to a bookmarked thread (if switched on), including the comment, there's no nreed to login and read it, unless you want to reply. It used to be you didn't see the post and wouldn't get any more notifications for that thread unless you logged in and read it. Another step backwards.
Just logged in and knew I should have lots of notifications, as I had already received the emails. There were 21 identified, but this is what I saw when I tried to expand it:
    Edit:
Didn't bother bookmarking this thread, too many posts to read and it will swamp my inbox. As Terry_Dactil said, it could be a waste of time posting here.

When I'm not logged in, the 'moneysaversarms' is missing from the drop down category menu. I do have it bookmarked but now, each time I click on it I have to log in before I can view it. Is it now private like discussion time unless you're logged in?
Sometimes I like to browse before deciding to log in but this is now impossible..I've unticked the box that says ''keep me logged in'' but each time I look, it's ticked again.

Hey, I've worked out (remembered) how to get colour in HTML. Would be easier if they gave us a colour palette though.
