This I can answer. It appears that the new system is now case insensitive with regard to usernames. I've no idea how they decided who got to keep the original and who got renamed but it looks like you drew the short straw. There is a user here called GillA who has kept their name, If it is any consolation (which I doubt) there is now also a Gilla_3 so at least you out ranked them!

The New Discussion button has a drop-down arrow at the right-hand end. Click that to get a choice between starting a new discussion and starting a new poll.

Have you tried the pink Magnifying Glass?   

Click on it to open a Search Thread box, type your search term and a quick set of results pops up (but not properly aligned to the search term box).   Click the Search button to place the results into a full search results page.

Okay: too many posts to read in this thread...but maybe I am not the only one who finds the “clear page but shows very few posts” really irritating?   I fear I will give up searching and posting......sad really....

Also: minor gripe: at least on my iPad: when I press return when typing (eg this), it defaults to the new line starting lower case.

Is now default so if you've previously read a thread, the next time you visit, you'll be jumped straight to where you left off...no extra links to click!

I see that's trying to be helpful but it's not working here.
e.g. For a thread with 36 pages, I went to page 5. Left the thread and went back in and it put me on page 6. Left again, went back in and it put me on page 7.  Problem is I'd only read as far as the first two posts on page 5.  Tricky to notice I've missed most of page 5 and all of page 6.

Well, the notifications pop-up started to prove more useful than the deluge of emails (One per thread per visit worked well. One per post is ridiculous.) But now the notifications are broken. The text is white-on-white in the pop-up, and there's nothing at all on the "All Notifications" page. That did work until yesterday...

Can see that I'm in a very small minority, probably of one, but it's absolutely fine. Using on Android phone, and the only snags for me are the lack of date and time of posts, and the lack of being able to go straight to the latest post in a thread.

Viewing on Safari on iPhone on New posts the list keeps refreshing and scrolling itself back up when I’m trying to read from newest to oldest
