We hope you’ve had a good chance to settle in and look around the new place.

After almost 17 years with our previous Forum tech, we have moved 1.9 million user accounts and 47 million posts across to this new technology with all sorts of improvements to it (and many more planned for the coming weeks, months and years).

We are sure there are a few things we may have missed in the move too - 17 years of extensions, redecorating and patching things up means, in spite of our best efforts, there may have been some things we didn’t realise might get broken along the way. And there’s always the tiniest chance of a few creaks and cracks in the finish.

If you notice anything that seems broken or unfinished as you use the new Forum, please let us know here.

To be completely honest, some things will be different because they have to be - a lot has changed since our previous tech was built - but we’ll do our best to sort as much as we can. If a snag you’ve found has already been mentioned, you don’t need to post it again as it will already be on our list (and to keep things manageable we may need to remove duplicates).

Please make sure to include as much information as you can in your snag feedback - a link to the page where the problem is, a screenshot if you can and a description of what it is the snag stops you from doing. One of our team will message you if more information is needed.

UPDATE: THINGS WE ARE AWARE OF (TO HELP YOU SEE AT A GLANCE WHAT YOU DON'T NEED TO TELL US ABOUT)

• Mobile & Tablet view issues
• Inability to Enter/Skip competitions from the list view
• Inability to sort Competition threads by Title
• Format of the date stamp on 'latest post' (quick tip: hover over the date to see the full date and time [but rest assured, we're reviewing this])
• Request to return post numbers on individual posts.

The first thing that stands out was also on the screenshots posted earlier and has been mentioned.

The lack of times next to dates makes things a bit confusing. Wherever the date is shown, whether on a forum index page or per post, it would help to see the time it was posted as well.

Edit:  To add it seems all dates need a bit of a change.  It looks like if a post was 'today' then just the time shows, probably should be date and time.

If the post was made 'this year' the date shows (ie "on February 6" / "on January 19"), probably should be date and time.

If the post was made any earlier just the month shows (ie "on December 2019"), again date and time would be better.

Finally, just noticed when creating a post there are big gaps between lines of text that look like you are adding line breaks but once posted it looks OK.

Update 12 Feb:  Thank you for sorting the showing of date and time on all pages, much easier to see when a post was made rather than hovering.  However, the issue still applies on thread views on mobiles.

Hi. I see that we had to change passwords, but when I clicked the link it will only let me reset this account (which must be a duplicate) rather then my regular account "stripeyfox". It's not a major issue, but how can i recover the other account (I guess they must be linked to the same email)!

'thanks' from the old forum does not match up with the new forum. 

New profile shows: Thanks (old forum): 27

Whereas when I checked a cached version of my old profile, it shows: 616

(it doesn't bother me, just an error I noticed)

I also cannot see any option to delete your own post.

On  competition time you used to be able to select skipped from the list of threads, but you now have to open each thread to do so. This will take much longer when skipping lots of threads. Can this be restored please?

The combo of no way to sort the board + no way to mark comps skipped from the outside makes the site completely unusable for me.

Hi, using Safari browser on an iPad mini 4 the bookmark, profile etc links at the top of the page don’t work when holding the iPad in portrait mode but do work in landscape mode. Same for the dates and user forum badges - don’t appear properly in portrait, do in landscape.

Can't see a way to click on the latest post on a thread, also when a thread is open and someone has typed more than the box holds there is no scroll button and the post also overruns the quote and thanks button, this might be my browser so I will need to check that.

How do I get the Daily Digest emails for a sub-forum?  I used to get a Daily Digest for the "Competitions" sub-forum, which would just email me a list of new threads created in the last 24 hours (the thread titles, and a link to the thread in the email).

I can't seem to find where to create/sign up for a daily digest at all on the new forums, please help me locate it, thank you!

Spacing seems to be an issue on the new forum - see attached images - text seems to land anywhere and covers key features. 

Furthermore, I can't see an option to mark as skipped/entered from the main forum list without opening each individual entry in the competitions forum.

Theyve been warning you about this for about 2 months now. Their was a really annoying pop up that was thre verytime you logged in. 
In future, it will be more fruitful for you to remember your passwords than it will blaiming a company for warning you what was about to happen and you not acting on that warning.
