As already mentioned somewhere, you can only edit a post once. Also, the edit screen shows different line spacing to the posted item. Much fewer emojis too! :/
I also used to collopse some sections of the forum in my home page and it would remember those settings. It doesn't now.
    Note:
Edited this once, won't be able to again I suppose.
Refresh the page, and the edit reappears
  • A lot of the text for posts, signatures etc is now too small too read.  Not all posters are the age of 14 with 20:20 vision.  This is the same for the desktop version and mobile app version. I can barely see things!
Also, on the mobile app version the top of each thread has a log-in section and the search options showing.  These take up an entire screens worth of real estate I have to scroll a screen and a half before I can even see any threads.

    just testing

    next line (heading1)

    <br>Wonder how I get out of this?<br><br>
So, if you select a format before you type something, you seem to be stuck in that format. You can get out of it by going to HTML view and fixing it there, but surely that isn't the only way? The text I put in the "code" format isn't appearing in the preview either, only in the edit.

Will this if I type it first and then change format to "code"? Yes it does!
Aaah, now I see. If you start the text in the "code" area with a carriage return, it doesn't show in the preview...

Is there a way to jump directly to the most recent post in a thread, without having to open the thread, click on the last page then scroll down?
I'm sure this has already been answered, but
    replaces 'subscriptions'
and once the new forum knows how far you've read, clicking the topic title will take you to the first unread post.

That's of no use if I'm on a different browser on which I'm not logged in, or looking at a long thread for the first time - I usually go straight to the back to see if the query has already been answered.

Can't see a way to click on the latest post on a thread, also when a thread is open and someone has typed more than the box holds there is no scroll button and the post also overruns the quote and thanks button, this might be my browser so I will need to check that.
Still no latest post in a thread facility but at least I found the reason why there was an overlap and no scroll button, it was the browser set-up (now fixed)

In Competitions when you open a thread it opens at the bottom of any comment/replies rather than on the original post.
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

Reply in a thread, and it doesn't automatically bookmark/notify of new replies...?

That's going to massively cut down on participation.
maybe try turning on the 'Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in' option in notification settings? not sure it is exactly what you want but worth testing out

A few things popping up regularly asking how to do stuff from the old Forum in the new one so thought I'd post a quick How To on some of the frequent ones...
    Subscribe to a thread
How do you "Subscribe" to a sub-forum?  In old forums used to be able to subscribe to a sub-forum (eg competitions), and get a daily digest email every 24 hours, listing the thread titles, & the links to the threads, for all new threads made, in a simple email without any fancy formatting or extras, was the only way I could cope with browsing the new threads each day (and not need to load hundreds of pages).
