hi, I run the monthly NSD (no spend days) challenge and also the annual AFD (alcohol-free days) challenge. The link to the latest NSD challenge is here and the AFDs are here. The changes with the emojis has been fairly disastrous - I used to be able to write a line of text and then link an image of an emoji after it, but now the images are floating in the middle of the page and look chaotic:February
= off to a start!
= five days
= 10 days
= 15 days
= 20 daysHere is another example, again from the NSD challenge:February targets
AbundantBudget 10
beanielou 5/15
bestlifenow 20
bloomfelt 4/21
Butti 1/10
candygirl 14
cathybird 4/15
confusedsaving 4/10
The emoji(s) should be on the same line as the text in all of these examples. Beanielou has achieved five days out of 15 and should have two emojis after her tally and on the same line to mark her progress.
This is vital to both challenges - the idea is to keep a tally of the number of no-spend or no-drink days people have achieved and reward them with an emoji to mark a certain level of progress. The AFD challenge in particular has been running over a decade and has helped countless MSE-ers control their drinking. The rewards are very much part of it - you'd be amazed how motivating achieving a little emoji can be.
This is what it should look like - this is in edit status, it's only when I post that it goes wonky:
I realise that BB code is a bit clunky with images, but can you find a way to resolve this please? ...3 -
In the list of forum discussions why is the top half of each item White and the bottom half coloured? It makes for an insecure view which takes one several seconds to register and work out what is going on
Why is not one topic white and then the next topic coloured if you want to do it that way?
Also when you enter a discussion why are the navigation buttons not at the top - what you have to do is scroll all the way down the first page to get to the navigation buttons?0 -
On Recent discussions list page, can we have time stamp as well as date stamp for posts before today please? At present, just time stamp for today's posts. Thanks

Been a member for many years and comping for more than 12, always loyal to the MSE Competition Time, but...
1) Can't see any way to change the display back to green. I may have persevered if it wasn't for...
2) No way to order by end date. This is how many compers enter.
3) Ticks and crosses have disappeared. I spend a lot of time either entering then green ticking or crossing each month on the following month's comps. All this is now wasted
4) Have spotted "Entered" and "Skipped" within a post, but there are problems with this too. The most frustrating is that we have to open EVERY thread to check, Previously we could tell with the ticks and crosses on the main comp page.
Also once clicked, even by accident, they cannot be undone by clicking again.
4) "Thank" button has been replaced with a tiny "Comp-liment" that's really hard to see.
5) Oh, and emojis have disappeared.
To add insult to injury they send me this email.
Congratulations! You've been promoted to Deliciously Dedicated Diehard MoneySaving Devotee.
May not be sticking around. *Stomps off in a huff* LOL!

COMPETITION FORUM
Is there a way to go straight to the latest post as at the moment I am seeing posts with most recent comment on, which I have already seen.
Also don't seem to be able to mark if a comp is entered (green tick) or skipped (red cross) without visiting each page.
Also I am sure we had a "settings" button on the old forum, is there one on the new forum and, if so, where would I find it.
Thanks to all those that post.2 -
Almost all of the posts that I had selected "entered" for in Competition Time on the old forum are now showing as "skipped" on the new one, so I cannot see which competitions I have actually entered! Also, the Game Over section doesn't seem to have any entered/skipped labels at all (unless they just haven't been copied across yet?), so you now can't see which competitions you've entered once they've closed (as whatever you selected disappears). Will this be changed? If not, what will happen if a post gets move back to the main board from Game Over, which is common when an end date is wrong or gets extended?2

Bookmarking a thread. I've altered settings to provide a pop-up notification. Then I deleted it as the this thread is way busy hey. But the notifications still remain. And when I navigate to https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussions/bookmarked this thread is not bookmarked. Will wait for the dust to settle before I hyperventilateEdit: just tried a log out/in and still this breadcrumb snag remains. Will test further in a new Firefox Container Tab (isolates local indexdb etc.) [Edit 3: OK back to the password problem I mention elsewhere. After removing all special characters in a 2nd password reset/login I still afgain can't log in and will need to reset a 3rd time? Leaving this for a while to allow stabalisation/fix on your end] Resolved at my end. I'd clicked every single notification checkbox - forgetting one of those was "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in."
Edit 2: hmm also noteworthy is that an edited comment is not flagged as such. This could prove problematic if a discussion changes (e.g. errors or changes) anyone following the discussion might not observe the change.

To follow up my post a few minutes ago, this is how it should look (this is if I try to edit the post - the emojis are in the correct place when I try to do this):0
