I think I have figured out how to refer to a particular post, without actually quoting it. This post is a test of my theory, for a Chrome browser on Windows.  Preview suggests that it's linking ok - although the linked post gets opened as a quote, with no date or time listed. Quite ugly.

    1. right-click on the "Quote" button
    2. Copy Link Address
    3. Paste the copied address into your text, or select some text and use the URL button to paste it in

I can now get in on my iPad :)
However if I try to scroll down the page in portrait it constantly crashes/refreshes. The same action works fine if I rotate the iPad 90 degrees and use it landscape.

I don't need an email every time someone posts on a thread I've Bookmarked.  I really, really don't.  If this isn't changed back to Daily or Weekly I'm going to have to disable all Notifications which will massively reduce my engagement with the Forum.  I'd be really sad about that.  Please fix this!
Absolutely agree. Notifications seem to have been randomly switched on on   my account when I had none. I found this intrusive and unnecessary. ETA: I turned off all notifications but they're still arriving in my email.

Seems to be inconsistent between users, I haven't received any notifications at all, nor did I ever receive any in the old forum.

I had this problem. I cleared the cookies and that seems to have fixed it!

Spoke too soon. Problem back on Safari but still okay on Firefox

ETA. I have the same thing as you with landscape on Safari

Sorry I've not had time to read everything but these are the three things that I immediately hated within thirty seconds of looking at the new forum:
    2. Threads with new updates since I logged in not being in bold - everything looks the same
What's wrong with the 'New' badge?

The "new" badge stays there all the time if you don't open the thread. So there's gazillions of "new" threads that are actually old threads that you just haven't opened. So you can't tell at a glance what is truly new since you logged out.
You can mark an entire category (i.e. board) as having been viewed, via the profile button in the top right, on desktop format at least - this resets all threads on that board so only subsequent changes are flagged as new.

Cannot go to first unread post on a thread
PLEASE give us the old original green colour, this is really hard on my eyes
There is no bold and not bold to show what threads you have and have not read
Opening a thread defaults to displaying the first unread post, for each thread you've opened (or marked as read) in the new forum (i.e. it doesn't work like that for older threads first time round), and as above you can mark an entire board as read if you want to reset everything and get meaningful new notifications.

The format you need to go to a specific post in the middle of a thread is:

Search in the FORUM search (on desktop this is currently the 2nd search box on the page) results in a quick results without hitting return. When I `Ctrl + left mouse click` I would expect a new tab to open with the results - which it does - however, the current tab also loads the same page. I would do this to not lose my place, in often very lengthy discussion threads in Competitions. The current page/tab search results and forcing the click to load seems it's trying too hard to perform what it presumes I would like to do.

Edit: OMG I just spotted a THIRD search. The magnifying glass next to forum pages numbers. FOUR if you include the same one at the bottom of the page.

    Comment edit box
seems to (sometimes) require TWO clicks of the "Post Comment" button before it actually posts. Not sure when that is yet but will observe over the weekend.
