3-6 Month Emergency Fund Challenge!!
Comments
-
Hello
I saw this challenge before and wanted to join but only had my VSP at the time and didn't want to mix the sums up (or I'd end up thinking I had twice what I really did)
I have two sources of income and did an SOA with only the larger income and I still have a little left over each month, so I've decided to start treating my savings as bills. TSB do a Monthly Saver but the maximum on that is £250, so the Monthly Saver will be for Long Term Savings, and the remaining balance from my smaller income will go into my Emergency Fund. Once I've met my VSP goal (for unexpected expenses and/or minor emergencies) I'll throw more money at the EF. Does that all make sense or am I over complicating things?
My starting balance will be £0 as I'll start next month, but I'm posting here because I need to open an EF savings account, so you lovely folk can make sure I stick to my wordSPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!

Thanks for the welcome Dobbibill and Helen
I'm going to aim for a goal of £5,000 for self-insuring my pets. In the past I've had to borrow money or be late with bills in order to pay the vet and I'd like to have a comfortable amount to cover any illness or accident that might crop up (although of course I hope they remain in good health!). :ASPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!

hi
hope everyone is ok and you are not too tired helen
just £5 for this week (total 105)
ive decided that each time I reach £100 I will buy premium bonds, it will stop me dipping in and if I need the money I can withdraw it in a few days (still counting as in the fund tho)
Have a good week everyone0 -
Hi all. Helen, can you reduce my page 1 amount by £59?.
My beloved Col. U were playing Spurs in the cup and I managed to get one ticket. Trouble is, they had set up the ticket sales so that I had no choice but to buy a ticket for their mid-week home gane against Chesterfield.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thanks for the wise words DreamerHelen!
So my car was in for its MOT on Saturday... I turned up to discover that the garage had forgotten about it so i have to go back Saturday coming :rotfl:
So nothing new to add to the fund until that is done and passed (fingers crossed) apart from 6p in interest in my Zopa account. so £664.85 is my new total
