Helen i hope everything is well with your granddad and that it is just a scare.
I have opened a savings account, my EF is currently sitting in my ISA but i'm trying to find one with better interest, so, rather than add to that and be tied in until April i opened a savings account and will either transfer it when i open a new ISA or i'll transfer it all before the window closes.
Anyway, i have £350 in there at the moment. Some i might have to take back to give to the OH to pay back the £3000 i borrowed but it's a start!Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Will read through and catch up later. Just to say, the final few thousand I was owed (following purchase of mum's bungalow) has arrived so I now have my emergency fund in place.

Hope you and your loved ones are all well.
I have spent the last week moving my mother from the 'hovel' (black mould up the walls and ant dust or mouse droppings behind the fridge-freezer - they know the mouse was getting in) to the bungalow. The timing wasn't of my choosing - I wanted to wait until the modifications and safety measures were in place (partner has Alzheimers so has to be stopped from wandering/ he collapsed on the bathroom floor and has missed all the moving as he was only let out of hospital yesterday/ neither of them can use a bath which is all the bungalow has).
Needless to say I have gone way beyond my physical (and possibly mental) capacity and this morning I can barely walk and keep going sick and dizzy if I move. Have been taking my medication at odd times as I have twice gone to help and not returned until the following day. So plan for today is resting on the bed and re-hydrating (after doing yet another errand this morning). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Well done mothernerd.
Must say I've had my fill of hospitals lately. 1st my dad was admitted to hospital for just over a week, then he had only been back home 5 days when my mum got taken in. As my dad is now on oxygene 24/7, me and MrsP had to spend the next 5 days living at my parents house caring for my dad.
Luckily they have a double bed in the front room so we had somewhere to sleep (even though we had to share the bed with their jack russell).
Add to this the fact my M-in-L is now in a care home and you can see why I am fed up with hospitals.Never Knowingly Understood.

Morning Everyone....
Well Grandad is doing okay.....He's on a Ward now (after spending about 15 hours in A+E!!!).....And is resting comfortably.....I'm hoping to go and see him today at about Teatime....So I'm looking forward to that....
I'm off today to go to a Diabetes Education Day....Not sure if it will help or not but at the moment I'm kind of blind about this Disease as I don't know much about it except to try and avoid sugary foods....So hopefully I can learn something which will make me feel much better health-wise....
Nothing to Report money-wise...Hopefully next Thursday when I get paid I can put in some more money....
