Hello folks! Not long now before Christmas Day. I have a few bits and pieces to pick up today and tomorrow and I should be done. Not bad considering I only started last Thursday. And I haven't touched the EF.
Hubby and I got paid yesterday, the January budget has been made and we are pleased to be able to transfer £300 to the EF, taking us up to £1730.22. We might be able to put some more later - will keep you posted."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Well today has been a hell of a day!! And not in a good way!! I had a MAJOR blip on my healthy-eating Plan and have been feeling horribly sick for the rest of the day (no sympathy please as I did it to myself and am beating myself up for it)....And then I get a Phone Call from Mum to say that my Grandad has been taken to Hospital as he had a Seizure while they were out for Lunch....So I've just spent the past 2 hours in the Hospital....
Thankfully my Grandad seems to be fine....He has Seizures about every 3 months....and just needs to come round, stop being sick and then they will send him home.....But it's made me worry about him even more....but of course that's not his fault, just hate seeing him so frail when he's always been so strong for his Family...
Anyway....that's my Day so far....hopefully it will get better at some point!!
Dobbibill .... I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better....I hope the Shops weren't as bad as you thought they would be and that you are curled up on the Sofa as I type this, all warm and snuggly....
To keep on topic a little bit....Nothing to report money-wise for me.....I doubt I'll have anything to put in before the New Year but we shall see what my last Paypacket of the New Year looks like (I get paid on 31st December)....
*Hugs* to anyone that needs them....xXx0 -
Put £200 + 48p change into the fund today so now I'm over £1,000 again woooohooo!
I'll put another £200 in on xmas day but I'm having to shuffle money in and out of the new clydesd@le account in order to get my switch bonus so it's currently sitting in there.

Morning everyone,
Helen, I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday with your health and then the trip to hospital with your Grandad.
Don't beat yourself up about your blip, learn from it to go forward. We all have blips of some sort in our lives, they are there to teach us a lesson, no-one gets through life without learning several along the way. You don't get to be old and wise without being young and foolish. I hope you have a better day today. *hugs back to you* :grouphug:
I hope your Grandad is home soon, it's always hard to see someone frail and ill and I wish him a speedy recovery.
My trips to the shops was ok-ish. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, although we did stop in the cereal isle for a few mins to gather our thoughts and make sure we had everything. It seems no-one wanted cereal for Xmas, so it was the quietest place in the shop. :rotfl:
I got home, put everything away and then remembered I had forgotten to get myself my Xmas present off my DH. He told me to buy what I wanted and he would pay for it. He's working all the time so it seems the easiest way to ensure I get something useful, that fits. So I turned around and went back out later.
I will not be returning to any shops today though. I am done and dusted.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone :snow_laugI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Thank You so much Dobbibill hun....You are such a Sweetheart... xXx
Well I've put on a pound.....but that is the first weight gain in about 10 weeks....every single other week I have either lost weight or stayed the same....so I can't complain about that....and overall I have still lost 1 stone and 6 pounds....Which I'm really proud of....
And you're absolutely right Dobbibill....I want to learn from this...and what I have learned first of all is that what I ate yesterday just made me feel horribly sick....and I haven't had that feeling for weeks and I really don't want it again!! I just felt awful yesterday....so that's a pretty good lesson!!
Anyway....Learn and move forwards....That's the lesson of the day ....
I'm glad to hear that your Shopping trip was successful....although a shame you didn't pick up your Present....but you can always get it at the Weekend, and who knows it might be in the Sale and that's true MSE-style
Have a great Christmas Eve hun xXx0 -
Wishing everyone a Christmas to remember:beer: and that anyone feeling under the weather will soon be better and able to enjoy it:dance:
Sending hugs to those who need them as Christmas can sometimes be the worst time of the year for lots of people:kisses3:. My Dad died on 23rd December and then 7 years later Mum died on New Year's Eve so this time of year isn't such a fun time for me any more. I know lots of others have experienced very sad times too so I really empathise:kisses3:
Thanks to you, Helen, for setting up the challenge and your constant encouragement to all of us:A. I hope your Grandad will be better soon and able to enjoy his Christmas.:xmastree::xmastree::xmastree::xmastree::xmastree::xmastree:0
