  • Morning Everyone :)

crimson.addict hun.....That sounds like a good way to still feel like you're being paid Weekly.....Next Year when I (hopefully) qualify I'm planning on getting a part-time Job (plus private practice during the other part of the Week)...and that Job will hopefully be in the NHS and I imagine it will be paid Monthly so I might do the same as you.... :)

I'm the same hun with Christmas Presents....I always want to get more and more (especially for my Mum)....but I have challenged myself this Year to only buy Presents that I know will really be appreciated and only buy one or two for people....rather than half a dozen.... :D I've also made Truffles for a few Friends because I knew that if I spent a lot of money on them they wouldn't like it and I knew they would like the Truffles....haven't given them out yet but I'm doing that tomorrow so I hope they like them!! Overall Christmas has only cost about £250 this Year as opposed to the £500-odd that it usually costs!! So I'm pleased with that :)

There probably won't be anything to Report with regards to my EF until after Christmas....but if I CAN sneak in a cheeky fiver then I will do :D

Hope you ALL have a WONDERFUL Day....and manage to find those Rainbows in the Storm Clouds xXx :)

I usually try to spend around £20 a person but this year i have tried to get what i think each will like so i have gone WAY over budget this year!! Oh well. It is Christmas.

I am having a cash only week the week before new year then from Jan 1st i'm going to write down every penny i spend. With PayPals new 'pay later' scheme i never know where my money is going at the moment :(

I'm usually so good but these last few months have been terrible!!

    Moan over lol

  • Last night the hard drive on my macbook suddenly just went kaput since it's a hardware issue and not software it's not something I can fix. My dad's handy with computers so I've bought a new hard drive and sent both it and my precious macbook back 'home' to Hampshire for repair. Had to take £150 out of my emergency savings.

Granted it's cheaper than the genius bar but still. I'm sad on so many levels.

  • Morning Everyone.... :) I'm doing okay....been feeling pretty nauseous for a couple of days but I think that might be about the Diabetes Medication....hopefully it will settle down soon....So far I'm feeling okay this morning but I've only been awake for about half an hour....

Busy Busy Busy day today....last full day in London today....I've still got Monday but that should only be a half day so I can't complain.....

And then I can take some time to relax....still have to Work from home for the duration....but that's okay as I can take breaks and work in my PJ's... :D

crimson.addict - I haven't heard of the new PayPal scheme...but then again I don't use PayPal very often....I hope you're well hun...and looking forward to Christmas!! xXx :)

lexbubbles - *Hugs* hun....I know what it's like when a Laptop breaks down....hopefully it can be fixed sooner rather than later...and at least you had the money there to be able to do it rather than take out Credit....It will get sorted hun xXx :)

So let's all aim today just to smile at one person....to hug another....and to get through today and still be smiling at the end of it.....*Hugs* to Everyone xXx :)
  • Good morning all.
Got paid today so straight away paid my minimum £50 into EF plus enough to round up to the next %. So now sitting at
    #9 200/4000

That's it at 5% which doesn't sound much but is 5% more than I would be at if Helen hadn't started this challenge so thanks again Helen for running it and doing all the updates. It's great to see people gradually building up their fund. I've been doing little Tilly tidies over the month, odd pennies here and there but it really helps.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and will update next payday, which is a loooong 5 weeks away! I hope to speed up my EF savings in 2016 but we'll see. X

    Hi Everyone,

Everyone is doing so well, lots of us adding to the fund despite it being the festive season. :xmastree:

So a few weeks ago I took out of my EF for my car repair, which is running sweet as a nut, thankfully. I've managed to put in £163.46 back in so covered it and a little more. Finger's crossed it will stay there this time ;)

Helen if you can update my new total to £4643.20/£8700.00.

Onward and upward everyone.......finished at work today for Christmas, so feeling festive but also now I know I have to finish my Christmas shopping and start wrapping, I'm sure no-one wants their presents in a carrier bag :rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy Friday, I'm off to update my signature :D
