  • Good morning everyone! Don't worry about the update for now dreamer Helen. Do have a nice day! I hope it's not going to be too exhausting for you.

I am having a mega lie in this morning. My shift last night was a very "toxic" one. It was non-stop from 3-11pm. My feet were about to detonate by the time I finished, I almost crawled in to bed. Another shift tonight and I'm off the rest of the week. Then FOUR shifts left for 2015 and then on to the new job in January.

There is some buffer money (about £15) in the bank which I am tempted to transfer to the EF but as hubby is down in London on business today, I don't want to touch it yet in case he goes over his budget.

Putting money in the EF is so addictive isn't it black cat?

I have spent my whole working life as a contractor getting paid weekly until 3 months ago. Now that i'm paid monthly i divide my wages into 4 or 5 depending on the number of weeks. Then i transfer all my money to another bank account and transfer the weekly amount each week. That way it's still like being paid weekly.

What i plan to do after Christmas is anything left over from my weekly money, divide in 2 and put half into my EF and half into a more accessible account for birthdays or treats and things like that.

That's the plan for next year. I've written off my wages this year because Christmas :( Been so determined to buy presents that will be loved and i'm struggling to stick to a budget :(

crimson.addict hun.....That sounds like a good way to still feel like you're being paid Weekly.....Next Year when I (hopefully) qualify I'm planning on getting a part-time Job (plus private practice during the other part of the Week)...and that Job will hopefully be in the NHS and I imagine it will be paid Monthly so I might do the same as you.... :)

I'm the same hun with Christmas Presents....I always want to get more and more (especially for my Mum)....but I have challenged myself this Year to only buy Presents that I know will really be appreciated and only buy one or two for people....rather than half a dozen.... :D I've also made Truffles for a few Friends because I knew that if I spent a lot of money on them they wouldn't like it and I knew they would like the Truffles....haven't given them out yet but I'm doing that tomorrow so I hope they like them!! Overall Christmas has only cost about £250 this Year as opposed to the £500-odd that it usually costs!! So I'm pleased with that :)

There probably won't be anything to Report with regards to my EF until after Christmas....but if I CAN sneak in a cheeky fiver then I will do :D

Hope you ALL have a WONDERFUL Day....and manage to find those Rainbows in the Storm Clouds xXx :)
