Congratulations to all you brilliant savers:beer:. Hugs, commiserations and nice cups of tea to all who need them:kisses3::coffee:
Well, I'm shocked to say that my EF has finally got something in it:j. Have cancelled a DD for our local daily paper as only OH reads it and then only once in a blue moon but he's done nothing but complain ever since I first threatened to cancel it:rotfl:. If he wants it he can jolly well buy it himself as, unlike me, he has masses of savings and no debts whatsoever:eek:.
Have designated one of my savings pots on Nationwide (totally empty since it was set up:o) for this challenge and am transferring £20 a month to it (the £16.90 from the cancelled papers plus a bit of rounding up). The first £20 has just appeared in it:j:j.
£20 a month isn't going to boost my EF much is it (only £240 in a whole year:eek:), but there'll be more added as I go along as and when I can spare it. At least I know the £20 is definite though:T.0 -
Afternoon carbootcrazy hun.....I've Updated the First Page....Congratulations on putting in your first Amount to your EF.....Just stick with it hun.....You WILL get there...We ALL will.... xXx0

Sorry for not being around for a little while! Had a lovely long bonus weekend with my chap, which was fab. I also finished work for the holidays, welcomed DD home from uni, then got a lovely e-mail from my solicitor saying that the other side had decided they wanted to take me back to court for not completing the house transfer on time! :eek:Even though the delays had been of their making (:mad:and we had proof of that), they were still chancing their arm and getting quite nasty. Thank goodness I'm organised, as I had every piece of correspondence dated and signed to prove that I had been doing everything to keep my side of the agreement, so after me scanning and e-mailing it all, I think they've finally left me alone to carry it all on. I did have a hideous 48 hours though... didn't do my mental health (or my wine stash) much good at all. But I'm back on track now, although I won't be paying anything extra into the EF during December, as I'll need to keep it accessible for another solicitor's bill because of the shenannigans... However, January should proceed as normal. And maybe I'll be sane again..

Well done DuranGirl, keeping all the paperwork and being so organised has proved it's worth.

Morning Helen,
I see you are the early bird again.
I too am an early bird today but only while I wait for some painkillers to kick in, I'm on antibiotics too, so I will be shortly off back to bed for them to do their wonders, hopefully while I sleep.
I did consider doing my food shop while I was awake so early, but while I sat here, that feeling soon passed, although I don't know how much longer I can put it off. I'm dreading it, the chaos, carnage and trolley bashing, all because we want to eat too much for one day a year.
I hope you all have a good dayI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
