I had to smile when you mentioned John Barrowman as I've got a 'thing' for him:o. Friends and family would think I was very strange if they new. I just can't explain what it is about the guy:rotfl:. Have sadly never seen him live but would love to;)
I'm really glad you're feeling a lot better today:)0 -
Hello Everyone,
Its been very quiet from me lately on all of the threads I'm subscribed to! its been very hectic in the run up to christmas, i just can't wait for a week off from work.
Nothing to add to my EF this month as all of my spare cash is going to christmas presents. However once they are all bought I'm hoping to be able to top up my total.
I have also started a syncing fund so that next year ill have all of my money for christmas around October time through putting money away bit by bit. I've also done this will all the expenses for my car, birthdays and any little trips i plan to go on. It stops me dipping into the £1000 emergency fund which is very easy to do.
Is everybody ready for christmas? I was going to head into town today to try and get more shopping done but the weather is terrible outside with storm desmond (who picks these names?!?!) hoying all he has at us :undecided

So I've just found out, it's the public who names them and the next one we can expect to be named 'Eva'.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Having joined this challenge ages ago I think I'm finally ready with some figures!
Because of the way my savings are set up, I'm doing this backwards - I've got £2,550 in the 3-6 month fund, but only £200 in the £1000 Emergency Fund! After Christmas I'll be focussing on the £1000 pot before adding to the other one. I'd also like to save for a holiday...0 -
Morning Everyone....
Thankfully I'm a LOT better this morning.....I think I might be on the way to complete health....at last!!
carbootcrazy hun ..... I'm so glad there's someone else out there that loves John Barrowman....I've seen him live several times....Both in Concert and in La Cage aux Folles which was AMAZING!! I've also met him a couple of times and he's so lovely and friendly...

Morning all
Pleased that you're feeling a bit better Helen. I too am down with the dreaded lurgy at the moment - I feel completely wiped out, but can't stop with life. I'm just sitting with a cuppa, feeling sorry for myself and contemplating the fact that I'm off to do an hours tutoring in a bit.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Very big ESA backpayment today allowed me to pay off all my debt (yippee!) and make my savings up to £1,000.
Which means I've conquered the 1000 emergency fund challenge, and am now well on my way to doing this one!
Now that I don't have to spend £200-300 every month paying off debts, I can put (most) of that into savings! (I say most because I was living off £40 a week to do that and I'd, er, rather not now that I don't have to)

Does that mean you won't be battling through gales to try to sell off your belongings at car boot sales from now on?:rotfl:0
