£100 before xmas would be nice to get too but we will have to see, its surprising when you put your mind to something how it changes your thinking about the odd £ here and there
Enjoy ur weekend folks0 -
Morning all
Sorry you've been under the weather Helen - hope you're on the mend and your b*m feels better soon!
I've got the car back, but main Vauxhall have to get a part in as they don't keep them in the factory (I think they finally believed my dealer when they said everything that they had suggested to fix it did not work). But it's driveable, and that's what counts. Bluetooth is an unnecessary luxury which I don't think I'll ever use, but the dealers have said - it's a new car so everything should work perfectly. Fair point.
Completely off topic, but I'm giddy as a kipper today - I'm going to see Duran Duran in concert tonight! :j:j:jI've been crazy about them since I was 11, and it's 32 years since I first saw them in concert (many, many gigs between then and now). I paid for the tickets months ago (treating my bestie for all her help over the last couple of years) and have been counting the days ever since. I might treat myself to a DD mug at the gig - gives you an idea of the age group when the merchandise allows you to brew up! :rotfl:3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Fantastic news about the gig, DuranGirl:j. I did wonder if your username was anything to do with the Duran Duran;).
Have a wonderful time:beer:
Great news too about the car and that Vauxhall and your dealership are being honourable about it:T0 -

Yes, the one and only, Carboot! I'm beyond excited now - they'll be on stage in just over five hours! :jChosen my gig frock as well - just debating now whether or not I should tweet a picture of it to John Taylor (sigh...:o) so it's easier for him to pick me out of the crowd. I'm only sitting half way across the arena from him - surely that won't be a problem for him?:rotfl:3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Evening Everyone.....thank you ALL for your best wishes....let's just say that today was not great....BUT, I made it through and didn't cancel anything which I'm really proud about - A Year ago I would have said "To hell with it" and just cancelled everything...but I didn't....
I'm not particularly feeling great right now.....a mixture of in pain and feeling sick (which is probably a mixture of the pain and the antibiotics)....but I've had these Abcesses before and I know I'll be fine....
carbootcrazy - Aww you're so sweet for sending me hugs...thank you.....and I hope you're well tonight....xXx
skye blue - Thank you for your lovely words....I just bet you'll get that £100 that you want before Christmas....believe in yourself xXx
DuranGirl - I'm so glad that the car is back....thank you for your well wishes.....And Ooooooooooooooh I bet you're either still on your way home or at home and buzzing from seeing DuranDuran....They were slightly before my time (I was more Take That era)....But I remember not having seen Take That for about 15 years when they reunited and I was really giddy and it felt like I was about 14 when I got to see them at Wembley....it was AMAZING!!I hope you had a WONDERFUL time... xXx

Hi Helen
I hope you get better really soon xx. I'm currently looking after my mum who's very unwell, she keeps moaning that it's stopping her getting sorted for Christmas!
Much love coming your way

Morning LittleMissDetermined .... Thank you so much for your lovely thoughts....much appreciated....and I'm sorry to hear that your Mum is unwell, I hope she soon feels better for Christmas....I'm guessing that you would rather she were well than be sorting out Christmas.... But hopefully she can soon do both...
I'm feeling a little better this morning....I won't go into the gross details as to why.....but I think things are a bit better and I'm a little more comfortable at the moment....
I hope you ALL have a WONDERFUL Day and manage to find your Pots of Gold at the end of your Rainbows xXx0 -
Morning Helen,
Glad you are feeling more comfortable. I too suffer with the same problem so I know where you are coming from when you say things are a bit better. More comfortable = less pain. It can be so draining and tiring so hopefully this is the start of a speedy recovery.
Morning to everyone else too. :j
LMD, wish your Mum a speedy recovery too.
Durangirl, I hope the gig was everything you expected and more.
Have a good weekend everyone :T

Afternoon everyone! I tried for morning, but it didn't quite happen...
Last night was amazing! I could bore you senseless, but better not... My feet hurt so much, but at least my voice has come back. Helping out at our local Mr T food bank collection for a couple of hours later on this afternoon, so I'd better take it easy on the old tootsies until then (any excuse to sit and cross stitch! :rotfl:)
Glad you're feeling better today HelenI didn't really get into Take That, although I did buy their Beautiful World album, because I thought that was great. But you understand the whole excitement of gigs, clearly. I got a bit:j:j:jto say the least, and my best friend loved it too.
