Morning all
£50 to savings so I'm now at £610 (#13). My savings are going to be low for a while because I've decided to clear my credit card first.0 -
Well done, everyone, your savings are an inspiration:T. All I need now is to actually have a bit of money spare that I can save;)
I've just remembered that my car tax expires on New Year's Eve:mad: so my planned start to my savings pot isn't going to happen this month. I'll be tackling 2016 with a vengeance, though:j
What is it with washing machines and finding money?:rotfl:. My washing machine has died, I'm hoping the repair man can resuscitate it enough to last a few months longer. We partly pulled it out from the cramped corner where it lives (the repair man is a big chap and has problems getting into that corner:() and there underneath was a 50p piece. No idea how that got there, it's not a coin that rolls is it?:rotfl:0 -
Got £50 from my family by way of paying back the loan so £40 went to my aqua card, and £10 went into the EF
That + shrapnel from rounding down puts me at
£83.74 / 3750
I might hit that target by the time I'm 30 :rotfl:Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

DuranGirl .... I know what you mean, there's always something!! Sounds like you're doing well xXx
Hi Helen, you're not wrong there! Took my new car back to the garage today as some of the Bluetooth gadgetry (which I will never use anyway) isn't working. They've given me a courtesy car, but it came with no petrol, so as well as filling up my own yesterday, I've had to put some in theirs too. Only fair, I suppose, but annoying. Then got home to yet another interim solicitor's bill for £360!!!:eek: Not even the final bill, which is what I was hoping it would be. It looks to me as if they're having a go at charging me twice for part of the work, so I shall be writing to them for details on that. And then, of course, they'll charge me for writing a letter back telling me why I'm wrong. I can't find a "jumping off the roof" emoticon, so I'll make do with:mad::mad::mad: I really really wanted to get on top of things this month, but I'm not sure I'll be getting my wish.:(
On the plus side, m'chap bought a big bag of chocolate from the staff shop when he visited at the weekend (yes, he's a keeper). I might just do my Vicar of Dibley/drowning in Crunchie wrappers impression this evening...

:j:j:jAnother £25.05 thrown in the EF. DH's mobile phone bill was £4.80 less than I've budgeted for and the money from the ink cartridge recycling company has hit the bank £20.25. :j:j:j
New total £1380.22
Reconciled bank and budget and it seems like we have £300 extra which could go into the EF too but I won't transfer that just yet, in case there are things I haven't allocated money for. It's a good and happy prospect in case it is indeed spare. Fingers crossed."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
I made a tiny 1p of interest on my current account, i've moved it into the savings anyway bringing my total to £10.27.If you know you have enough, you're rich.0
