Oh no! Why do they always seem to go at this time of year? But well done on having an EF to help ease the pain.:)3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Declutter from 22.5.22: 105/250 Car finance PAID OFF £7,848.88 IN 2019 (0% LOB)0 -

It's small consolation but you don't have to go into debt to get a new boiler...
I needed a fridge and a washing machine this year which completely wiped my ef out - but at least it was there...
My ef now stands at a staggering £17.66 :rotfl: small steps. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Nothing to Report from me until I go to the Bank later on....I've got Virgin Media round this morning and I don't know when they will show up or how long it will take....fingers crossed they arrive at 8am and are done by 9am...0 -
Commiserations to everyone who needs, or has recently needed, to spend a lot on replacing major items. Hugs to you, [Deleted User] x.
My washing machine is still dead, the repair man didn't turn up as he's put his back out:eek:. I'm not even sure if the cost of repair is worth spending as I don't know what it died from yet. Am fully prepared to dig deep into my EF for getting it/a new one in action. I just thank my lucky stars that I found this thread and have managed to get the EF cushion in the first place:beer:.0 -
Morning carbootcrazy hun .... I'm sorry to hear that your Washing Machine hasn't been fixed!! I hope it gets sorted soon...and yes, it's GREAT that you have the money you need to be able to fix it or buy a new one without going into Debt....0

Good Morning, Helen, you're up and about early like me:beer:
Well,I might be up early but I'm obviously not fully awake yet as I posted on the wrong EF thread:o. I still haven't managed to put anything into your 3-6 months EF, it's patman's £1000 EF where I've managed to stash something. Once 2016 starts I hope/plan to save a bit in both at the same time;)
Good Luck with Virgin Media. I hate waiting in for people, especially if they don't turn up and don't bother to let you know (like my washing machine man:().
Have a good day:beer:0 -
I'm usually up early carbootcrazy
LoL Don't worry about posting in the wrong Thread....It IS early....And it's still good that you have something stashed away to pay for everything...
I know you will start your 3-6 month EF when you can....Like I have said before, it's a long-haul for most of us.....It will certainly take me years and years to get there....but I WILL get there...and so will you0
