    Hi guys

Please add another £60 (£560) to my total

Helen like you I decided to stop the other saving pots and i feel much better now the one target is getting closer and growing, i can use it later if needed but for now its staying there

    Thanks helen
  • Congratulations to everyone who has added to their savings pot this week:T. I hope you've all been making the most of what's left of the summer too. There seemed a real nip in the air very early this morning and the days are certainly getting a lot shorter:(

I've made some small amounts from eBay and selling a couple of books on Amazon since I was here last and can 'afford' to add it to my savings instead of using it for essential shopping;). After an end-of-month tot up I've rounded it up with odd pennies from my bank balance I'm adding £49 to my EF to bring it back up to the £300 I have in my running total:j. I'm only back where I started but I still feel euphoric:o.

It's been a long time getting back to that figure (which I had to spend earlier in the year:o) but anything saved from now on will be building my fund up. Definitely no dipping into it whatever happens and you've my permission to give me a good slap if I even suggest doing so:rotfl:
  • Can I join in please??
    My goal will be £1000.

Fantastic challenge and I think this will really motivate me and make me less likely to 'dip-in'

  • Everyone's doing so well:beer:. This thread is such great motivation but sadly I don't have too many opportunities to make/find/save much.

I have a bit to add though and will be back later. Desperate for a cup of tea first.

I've had a nightmare time today with internet problems (connection dropping out every 5 minutes or so and router's lights flashing like Blackpool illuminations). I've spent hours (I'm serious) faffing about trying to fix things:mad:. I just can't live without my broadband:o. I think it's fixed at last thanks to the genius helpline people at BT. My sanity is restored:j

I have been spending my original savings pot, as I bought myself a new cooker and fridge freezer. Well overdue. They come next Sunday.
However I looked at all my various pots, accounts etc and moved it all around so that I didn't have to leave it on the credit card.
However moving things together etc means that I now have £900! All in one place for Emergencies and I have begun again with the other savings pots for holidays etc ( but as we are not long back from Cyprus I won't need a holiday yet! Might want one though now DGD goes back to school)!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
