Hi all,
Finally get to post back on here after a few speny weeks!
Could you add £30 to mine please Helen? So that's £120 now.
Hope you're feeling better Helen and glad the EF is moving in the right direction.

Hi,
I have written to the council and sent evidence of my childcare costs and broken down my business accounts to see if they will re calculate my account. With help from EE and another MSE member.
So I have not yet paid them anything further. As I cancelled the DD I will make a payment for some of the council tax by a cheque in the post.
So I didn't buy a replacement car, and the Emergency fund is still in the bank at the moment.
I pruned down my expenses and cancelled a few subscriptions. But I won't purchase a car until I know if I can run it or not. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening everyone hope you are all good especially Helen you've not been on here for a while hope all well hun? Xx
My new total is £4335 which is 51% getting there slowly0 -
Mine has decreased to $ 9850. I had to use some money for dentistry... Now to get on track and put that back in as quickly as I can.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, it has been windy but nice here today. We managed to save some money on our day trip as our girls broke up from school yesterday and our foster children break up lunch time tomorrow. We don't get many days where we only have our biological children so we took them out for the day. They opted for the local water park over the zoo so today only cost us £4 we made a picnic to take with us. I should really transfer the £42 we saved into savings but I will keep it as I'm sure the teenagers will throw us some curve balls with plans they will make with friends!0 -

So impressive, Dobbi, and inspiring too for those of us just starting out. You're such a positive influence on this thread, I wanted to say thanks (and well done!) :-)

Reading, but not saving as my money has dropped by another £45 a week, on top of bills going up. My tax credits were amended due to reduction in childcare costs. Although childcare costs went down £17 a week, but the credits by £45!! So not sure exactly what is happening. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Thanks JC. This thread has kept me so focused, it's so much more than just people typing words. We all have our individual goals but the encouragement and determination by everyone on here is so inspirational.
You are doing incredibly well, you have only been with us a short while and hitting a milestone figure already. The size of the steps don't matter if the steps are taking you in the right direction. keep at it
