  • Well done on the DMP Patman. must be a relief.

My emergency fund is just not going to happen for a while. Car has been written off (whilst parked!!!) so God knows what I am going to do........Still I am sure it will work out. More or less. :)

Well done on being debt-free Aphidgirl!

I got some birthday money and won £10 on a birthday scratchcard so have added a total of £60 to the EF. Not a very exciting use of the bday money but very satisfying nevertheless!

Buffy, your insurer will (should) sort you out with a hire car at the other person's expense (assuming that you got their details).

Anyway, today I had the tragic news that my dad had collapsed and the paramedics were attempting to revive him. On the way from work to my parents house, I was passed by the ambulance heading away from the house to hospital. Unfortuanatley they could not save him and at 15:15 he passed away after a long illness.

As MrsP was the last person to see him alive (apart from from my mum) she is very cut-up about it.

As me and my bro have a lot of stuff to deal with on my mum's behalf, please don't think I have abandoned this thread if I have not been on for a while. It's just that I have more important things to deal with at the moment.

I have put £60 in my EF today, so my total is now up to £450. I hope to be halfway there by the end of the month.
