Things are tight at the end of this month, but I have managed to put another £20 in my EF. It now stands at £390.
From now on it should be a little easier, because my hours have increased from 20 to 30 hours a week.£1000 Emergency Fund #175 - £598/£1000

Welcome lcc86. You are #178.
To put everyone out of their misery. A coin counting jar has a slot on the top with 2 bars across it. One bar is fixed and the other slids to accomodate the coin. The mechanism is linked to a readout which can identify the coin by the size indicated by the sliding bar. It then adds the coin to the running total so you know how much you have in the jar at any one time.
Anyway, have got a contract extension until 22nd April, so 3 more months of work ahead.Never Knowingly Understood.

Hi Folks, great to see everyone doing so well and those EF's growing!
So, its payday for me and that means the start of Feb's spend spread sheet ....and £60 added to the Vets EF (which I have started instead of paying pet insurance) and £200 added to the EF, making a total of £800.
Usually Feb is a short 'pay' month for me, however the way the weekends have fallen and the fact it is a leap year means I have an extra weekend to survive, so need to keep a tight reign on the spends again.Well Behaved women seldom make history
