Forgot to mention that yesterday was a big spend day.
I had to buy a new pull cord for a light unit and whilst at Screwfix, I popped into the charity shop next to it and spent £1.50 on a money counting jar.
I have to ask....what makes a money counting jar different to any other jar :huh:DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

My council tax free months going straight to credit cards but going to try and up the money I save towards EF. Now increased to £20 per week but thinking if I can afford £25 a week will do, as my house repairs need a lot of money saved for them.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220

Thanks, January:T
Come on, patman, please put us all out of our misery:rotfl:0 -
Is it too late to join this challenge?? My emergency fund has been completely wiped out due to unexpected vet fees and a high service charge bill for my flat, so I'm back to starting from Scratch!
I aim to save £1,000 by the end of June. Thus far I have just over £27. It's not much but we all have to start somewhere!0 -

Welcome, lcc86:hello:. Our leader, patman, will come along later and give you a number.
Don't worry, it's never too late to join. It's not an annual challenge, we just plod along saving anything we can whenever we can. As patman keeps telling us, it's a stroll not a race.
I'm sorry to hear that vet's fees have been a source of major spending for you. It's been the same for a lot of us pet-lovers on here:(0 -
Well I almost had £30 to put into my EF but I just had to give it to DH for an unexpected work trip. We'll get it back in expenses next month but it's disheartening not to see that total go up.0
