Welcome to Effyb4, member #175.
Calling, bad news regards car battery. The last 1 I bought I shopped around for and got from a local independant car spares shop for £78. The same battery from Halfruads was £168 so quite a saving.Never Knowingly Understood.

Patman I had frozen outside for 2 hrs trying to charge my old one up, friends battery charger fuse had blown, luckily had another fuse with it.
So nearest garage as I wasn't convinced my car would start up if I stopped it again. Think I may have got it cheaper. The old one I had fitted by the AA was too small for my car probably why it only lasted just a week over 3 yrs!

I haven't managed to add more than a £1 this month which is a bit depressing. I'm hoping my two "free" council tax months in Feb & Mar will give me the chance to add a decent amount to the EF pot.0

Hello guys, I'd really like to join you. I don't feel good not having any emergency savings. My household is just me and the buck stops here so it's time to act like a grown-up...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Tucking away as much as I can, when I can. I don't have to pay water direct debit in February & March and also have a rent free week in April. Torn between putting the spare money in my EF or paying it off a debt I've nearly cleared. I know which one is the more sensible of the two.

My e-Bay items didn't sell  but I had £10 tcb refferal come in and I had to go to abroad for training for which my company give us £10 a day for expenses. I didn't spend a penny, so £30 more into the EF.£56/2790
